Indications Gastritol
Gastritol is intended for normalization of digestive organs and symptomatic treatment of digestive disorders (functional dyspepsia), accompanied by severity in the stomach, heartburn, belching, flatulence, painful spasms, nausea. As an additional remedy, Gastritol can be used for gastrointestinal diseases such as inflammation of the stomach (chronic gastritis with high acidity) and gastric and duodenal ulcers.
Release form
The drug Gastritol is a drop for oral administration (in bottles with a dropper capacity of 20, 50 or 100 ml).

Pharmacodynamics
Normalizing motor motility of the gastrointestinal tract, local antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect of drops Gastritol is provided by a complex of active substances that are part of the alcohol extracts of medicinal plants included in the drug: chamomile flowers (Matricaria сhamomilla), goose gum grass (Potentilla anserina), wormwood Artemisia absinthium), St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum), thistle of Benedictine or wolf curly (Carduus benedictus), roots of licorice naked (Glycyrrhizae radices) and angelica officinalis (Archangelica officinalis).
Aromatic mix of chamomile and medicinal wormwood chamazulene has an anti-inflammatory property (due to its bactericidal activity) and helps restore damaged mucous tissues of the digestive tract. Flavonoid lapchatki and saponin glycyrrhizin licorice root relieve spasms in the intestines; In addition, liquoritin and licurazide, contained in the licorice, have an anti-inflammatory effect when ulcers of the stomach mucosa.
Benedictine thistle - thanks to the content of terpenic glycoside, the book - activates the production of gastric juice and reduces the intensity of intestinal fermentation, which reduces the volume of intestinal gases. Connections of the roots of Angelica have several useful properties: coumarins and ferulic acid relieve spasms, borneol - inflammation, glycosides accelerate the regeneration of the stomach and intestinal mucosa.
Hypericin Hypericum acts as a sedative on the central and autonomic nervous systems.
Pharmacokinetics
In the official Gastritol Instruction, it is noted that there is no data on the pharmacokinetic characteristics of the drug (i.e., the entire complex of plant ingredients).
However, it is pointed out that practically all active substances are absorbed easily in the digestive tract, enter the blood, biotransformed in the liver and are excreted through the kidneys.
Separately, the content of hypericin in the blood, which is present in the plasma for up to four days, is noted.
Dosing and administration
Drops Gastritol should be taken orally in half an hour before meals - 20-30 drops per meal, dissolving in one or two tablespoons of water, three times a day. Patients with high acidity of gastric juice should take the drug in the same dosage, but after meals.

Use Gastritol during pregnancy
Gastritol is contraindicated in women during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Contraindications
Drops Gastritol is contraindicated in individual hypersensitivity to components, with internal bleeding, decreased hemoglobin levels in the blood, severe hypertension, epilepsy, gallstones, and composit allergies to blooming plants such as ragweed, dandelion and wormwood.
The drug is not used in the treatment of children under 12 years of age. Caution should be observed when using Gastritol with patients with mental disorders, functional liver failure and alcoholic dependence in the anamnesis (drops contain ethyl alcohol).
Side effects Gastritol
