Pharmacodynamics

The drug is part of a group of drugs that have a low hormone dosage. It affects the system, which includes the pituitary gland with the hypothalamus and the ovaries.

The drug depresses the process of binding hormones that stimulate follicular maturation. It also causes a slowdown in ovulation and activates the changes that occur in the processes of separation of cervical mucus.

Femodena does not have androgenic activity. In addition, it reduces the susceptibility of the endometrium to the consolidation of the blastocyst.

Pharmacokinetics

When ingested, ethinyl estradiol with gestodene is absorbed completely and at high speed. At the 1st hepatic pass, Gestodene does not undergo cleavage, but the greater part of ethinylestradiol, on the contrary, enters the metabolic processes. The latter is also more synthesized with an intraplasma protein. In addition, it passes into the mother's milk.

Dosing and administration

The medicine must be consumed inside, every day and at about the same time of the day. Dragee swallowed whole, washed down with ordinary water. Take the drug on the 1st dragee during the 21st day. Menstrual bleeding often begins on the 2nd-3rd day after the start of the break and can end before switching to a new pack of drugs.

Contraindications
