The Kharkov pharmacological company JSC "Lekhim-Kharkov" (Ukraine) produces an effective drug Evkolek, the international name of which sounds like Chlorophyllipt - an excellent antimicrobial and antiseptic agent.
On the shelves of modern pharmacies you can find a medicine for almost all diseases. Evkolek is also often used - an effective antimicrobial and antiseptic medicine. It can relieve many pathological diseases affecting the pelvic organs, it is especially in demand in gynecology for the treatment of diseases associated with inflammation and infectious lesions of the vaginal mucosa. But, despite its high therapeutic effectiveness, self-medication is not worth it, all pharmacological drugs, including Evkolek, should be prescribed only by a qualified specialist, then you can count on getting the desired result, otherwise there is a high probability of negative complications, which does not make the patient's body healthier.

Due to its characteristics, indications for the use of Evkolek are indicated in several points.
- Therapeutic measures to relieve pathology of female genital organs caused by an inflammatory process or infectious lesion of the pelvic area:
- Vulvovaginitis is an inflammation of the external genitalia and vagina. The disease is caused by a foreign body in the vagina, the consequences of taking antibiotics, a parasitic disease (enterobiasis), masturbation.
- Colpitis is an inflammatory phenomenon in the vagina. It develops mainly against the background of a marked decrease in the hormonal function of the ovaries.
- Vaginitis is one of the most common diseases in the gynecological field, which is caused by inflammation of the entire vaginal mucosa, caused by the activity of pathogenic microbes.
- Other similar pathologies.
- Indications for the use of Evkolek include an imbalance of intestinal flora and other diseases caused by antibiotic-resistant strains of staphylococci.
Release form
The main chemical and physical characteristics of the drug and the form of release are suppositories of a dark malachite-green hue, spherical-oval outline, close to a cigarette. The presence of a slight whitish coating on the surface of the suppository is allowed.
The basic active substance of the medicine is the extract of dense chlorophyllipt. Its quantitative component in one medicinal unit, if recalculated to a low-humidity substance, will be 50 mg (or 0.05 g).
Additional chemical compounds include solid fats and Tween-80 or polysorbate.
Pharmacodynamics
The drug in question, due to its characteristics, is classified as a pharmacotherapeutic group of drugs with antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, actively used in the treatment of gynecological pathologies. The pharmacodynamics of Evkolek is mostly determined by the main parameters of the active substance of the drug, which is thick chlorophyllipt, or more precisely, the essential oil, organic acids, tannins and other equally useful components included in its composition. Such chemical compounds stimulate the work of receptors located in the mucous membrane of the genitals. At the same time, directly in contact with the pathological area, they have an anti-inflammatory effect on it, while being a good local antiseptic.
Eucolec also exhibits high antibacterial activity, exerting a bactericidal, bacteriostatic effect on parasitic strains of staphylococci.
Pharmacokinetics
Modern pharmacology at this stage has not studied the ability of the drug in question to be absorbed by the human body, and the ability to remove it or its metabolic products from the body is also unknown. Therefore, the pharmacokinetics of Evkolek has not been established at this time.
Dosing and administration
The drug Evkolek is used in therapy both rectally and vaginally. The method of administration and doses are prescribed by the attending physician, based on the overall picture of the disease, the severity of its course and concomitant pathology. Primarily for adult patients, Evkolek is prescribed one suppository, introduced into the patient's body twice a day. The duration of the treatment course is from 10 to 14 days.

Use Evcolek during pregnancy
To date, no in-depth studies or monitoring of the effects of using the drug in question have been conducted. Therefore, the use of Evkolek during pregnancy and during the period when the patient is breastfeeding her newborn baby is not recommended.
There is also no experience in prescribing Evkolek for the treatment of diseases affecting children.
Contraindications
Evkolek is a medicine made from raw materials of a natural plant product, but this does not make it absolutely safe and harmless. Contraindications to the use of Evkolek are also known:
- Hypersensitivity to chlorophyllipt and/or other components of the drug.
- Tendency to allergic reactions.
To exclude such manifestations, before prescribing this medication, it is advisable to test the patient's sensitivity to the drug. To do this, apply a small amount of Evkolek to the inside of the elbow and hold for six to eight hours. If no allergic reaction is observed, the drug can be used in therapeutic therapy.
If a reaction occurs, but the drug is still taken, it is quite possible that allergy symptoms such as swelling, itching and rashes will appear.
In such a situation, it is necessary to immediately stop using the Evkolek suppository and consult your doctor, who will conduct an examination, adjust the therapy and replace the medication.
There is no data on the ability to affect the speed of reaction in case of driving a car or working with other dangerous moving mechanisms that require attention and a quick response. In such a situation, Evkolek should be taken with great caution.
Side effects Evcolek
If you follow all the recommendations given by your doctor or in the instructions that come with the drug, Evkolek's side effects are practically not detected. In some rare cases, symptoms of an allergic reaction can be noted.
Overdose
If all recommendations and dosages have been followed, it is very problematic to get an excess of the active drug. But if an overdose of the drug Evkolek has occurred, allergy symptoms may appear, such as swelling of the mucous membrane, irritation, itching and rash.
Mostly after stopping taking the medicine, the pathological symptoms disappear on their own. But it is still worth informing your doctor about this.
Interactions with other drugs
To date, no studies have been conducted to assess the mutual influence of one drug on another when used in parallel in complex therapy. Therefore, it is impossible to clearly predict the result of the interaction of Evkolek with other drugs. Based on this, the conclusion suggests itself - such a tandem should be prescribed with special caution and kept under constant control.
Storage conditions
Since the drug in question is made on a natural basis, the storage conditions for Evkolek follow from here:
- The medicine must be kept in a room with low humidity.
- Temperature parameters are also very limited: from 8 to 15 ° C (that is, it must be kept in the refrigerator).
- The drug should be kept in a dark place, not exposed to direct sunlight.
- The place should be inaccessible to small children.
Shelf life
If all the conditions for proper storage of the drug are met, the shelf life of Evkolek is two years. If the storage conditions have been violated, this period is significantly reduced. The date of manufacture and the expiration date must be reflected on the packaging of the drug. After the drug has expired by the expiration date, it should not be used in therapeutic therapy.
