During pregnancy, all existing problems of a woman tend to progress. This is facilitated by reduced immunity, constant changes in hormonal levels. Thus, during pregnancy, the hormonal background changes dramatically at least 4 times. The load on all organs and systems increases, especially on the kidneys. Toxins that accumulate not only in the process of metabolism of a woman, but also in the process of vital activity of the fetus, negatively affect the internal and external environment of the body.
In addition, pregnancy is often accompanied by severe intoxication. At the same time, the presence of edema only worsens the situation, contributing to the accumulation of toxins in the body and the further development of intoxication. This negatively affects the body's defense reactions, as well as the condition of the skin. Therefore, various skin lesions occur, including on the legs and feet.
Thus, a person's feet experience the maximum load on the body. During pregnancy, the situation only worsens, since the load on the feet increases. If a woman has problems with her heels, including a tendency to develop spurs, calluses, cracks in the heels, one can safely assume that the problem will worsen.
Cracked heels after childbirth
In the postpartum period, the body enters a recovery period, which is characterized by a high degree of regenerative processes. The body spends significant resources on restoring damaged structures and functions.
It is also necessary to take into account that the body is weakened during this period, its protective and compensatory capabilities are significantly reduced. This means that at this time, all the problems that accompanied the woman before pregnancy will worsen. Quite often, new problems arise, in particular, problems with the legs, since it is the legs that bear the main load of the expectant mother.
