Pain in the left side is most often associated with pathology of the colon, left kidney, pancreas, and spleen.

In liver diseases, often accompanying chronic pancreatitis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer can also be the cause of pain in the left side.

In diseases of the subcardial region of the stomach, irradiation of pain to the left side may be observed.
