Prolactinum is increased at:

Prolactin-producing pituitary tumors
Idiopathic hyperlactinemia (in women - menstruation and infertility disorder, in men - impotence)
Hypofunction of the thyroid gland
Renal insufficiency
Breast damage
Injury, surgery
Shingles
The use of phenothiazine, haloperidol, imipramine, methyldoph, large doses of estrogens, oral contraceptives, arginine, opiates, postinsulin hypoglycemia

Prolactin is downgraded when:
