Diabetes mellitus is a disease that requires a special approach to your diet. Benefits

The nutritional value of this cereal is that it is rich in proteins, fats, carbohydrates. It contains B vitamins (B1, B3, B9), retinol, ascorbic acid, a lot of potassium, magnesium, iron, essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids. For diabetics, corn should be present in the menu due to the polysaccharide amylose, which slows down the penetration of glucose into the blood. Contraindications

Corn has its own contraindications. In grains, it is poorly digested, so with problems of the gastrointestinal tract, including peptic ulcer, unpleasant symptoms such as bloating, flatulence, heaviness may occur. It also increases blood clotting, which is dangerous in thrombosis. In these cases, it is best to refuse it.
