Nutritional value of this cereal is that it is rich in proteins, fats, carbohydrates. It contains vitamins B (B1, B3, B9), retinol, ascorbic acid, a lot of potassium, there is magnesium, iron, essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids. For diabetics, corn should be present in the menu due to the amylose polysaccharide, which slows the penetration of glucose into the blood. The best way to reduce sugar is a decoction of corn stigmas.
Contraindications
Corn has its own contraindications. In grains, it is poorly digested, so for problems of the gastrointestinal tract, including peptic ulcer, unpleasant symptoms in the form of bloating, flatulence, heaviness can arise. It also increases blood coagulability, which is dangerous for thromboses. In these cases, it is best to abandon it.
