Bioprost has a complex composition, and its therapeutic effect is based on the activity of the active elements - pumpkin seed oil, as well as thymol.
The medicinal effect of the drug is associated with the elimination of pathologies affecting the prostate (including inflammation or hyperplasia). The effect of the drug helps to reduce pain and eliminate discomfort. At the same time, the drug stabilizes urination processes. [ 1 ]

Indications Bioprost
It is used in cases of chronic bacterial infections of the prostate. In addition, it can be used in the chronic stage of abacterial prostatitis associated with hormonal, immune or vegetative disorders.
It can be prescribed in case of prostate adenoma as a symptomatic medicine.
Release form
The drug is released in the form of rectal suppositories - 5 pieces inside a blister pack. The pack contains 2 such packages.
Pharmacodynamics
Thymol, which is obtained from the leaves and seeds of thyme, has antibacterial properties. At the same time, it demonstrates a pronounced disinfectant and antibacterial effect on the prostate and its mucous membrane, removes itching and has an anthelmintic effect.
Oil obtained from pumpkin seeds has antitumor, antioxidant and androgenic effects, accelerates the healing of damaged tissues and restores prostate function. The plant component of the drug provides the body with antioxidants, microelements, and unsaturated fatty acids. The oil contains large amounts of Mg, Fe, Zn, Ca, P, selenium, B9 vitamin, and in addition vitamins from the B subgroup, as well as retinol, tocopherol and F vitamin.
Sensitivity to drugs is demonstrated by coccal and other pathogenic microbes - enterococcus with staphylococcus, proteus and intestinal with pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Rectal use of Bioprost prevents the risk of inactivation of the active elements of the suppositories inside the gastrointestinal tract and liver. Getting directly into the secretion and tissues of the prostate, the drug demonstrates an optimal medicinal effect - reduces inflammation and relieves pain.
The use of the drug improves erectile function and stabilizes spermatogenesis. The plant elements of the drug have a positive effect on blood vessels and tissues of the reproductive system, and also prevent inflammation.
Dosing and administration
The medicine is administered rectally - into the rectum. It is necessary to use 1 suppository 1-2 times a day. Therapy should not last more than 2 weeks. If longer treatment is required, you should first consult a doctor.
To increase the effect of the drug, before inserting the suppository, the patient should be given a micro- or cleansing enema, and the rectum should be cleansed of feces in a natural way. The suppositories should be inserted deeply.
After using the medicine, the patient should remain in a lying position for at least 30-40 minutes.
If it is necessary to use several suppositories per day, the interval between their administration should be at least 1-2 hours.

Use Bioprost during pregnancy
Bioprost is not used in women, so it is not prescribed during breastfeeding or pregnancy.
