Folk remedies for a runny nose during pregnancy are mainly juice and decoctions of medicinal herbs, used in the form of drops for instillation or solutions for rinsing the nose.

A runny nose during pregnancy is best treated with traditional proven methods, as they say, according to "grandmother's" recipes. However, any procedures based on traditional medicine should be discussed with the attending physician by the expectant mother in order to avoid undesirable consequences, in particular, the development of allergies to some natural ingredients.

As natural drops, you can try apple or carrot juice. The procedure of instilling the nose with fresh juice should be carried out three times a day, using 6-7 drops for each nasal passage. In case of severe runny nose, you can use soda-tannin drops, which have a softening effect. To prepare them, brew 1 teaspoon of black tea in a glass of boiling water, and then evaporate for 15 minutes. Strain the broth, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to it. You should instill the nose with this solution using a pipette three times a day, 10 drops in each nasal passage. To instill the nose with severe runny nose, use the Kalanchoe plant, which has a powerful antimicrobial effect. Drops are made from crushed plants with the addition of a small amount of boiled water to the resulting gruel. Treatment is carried out for a week, instilling the liquid three times a day, several drops in each nasal passage.

Garlic drops are very effective against viral rhinitis. To prepare them, use a clove of garlic, which must be thoroughly crushed, pour cooled boiled water over it, leave for half an hour, and then drip the resulting liquid into both nostrils. To boost immunity, use beetroot juice diluted in equal proportions with boiled water. The solution must be infused for 2 hours, then strained and dripped into the nose, a whole pipette in each nostril twice a day.

Kalanchoe for a runny nose during pregnancy

A runny nose during pregnancy is effectively treated with a long-proven folk recipe - drops from the medicinal plant Kalanchoe. This plant has bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, and wound-healing properties. Kalanchoe juice contains a number of useful macro- and microelements (iron, copper, calcium, silicon, magnesium, etc.), polysaccharides, vitamin C, tannins, flavonoids, various enzymes and organic acids. Kalanchoe significantly alleviates the condition of nasal congestion and helps to quickly get rid of an annoying runny nose. In addition, the plant strengthens the immune system, preventing the occurrence of new colds.

Kalanchoe for a runny nose during pregnancy is used in the form of freshly prepared drops from the leaves of this amazing plant. First, the leaves must be crushed, then squeezed out the juice and diluted with 1 teaspoon of boiled water. Then the solution must be poured into a glass container and used as drops, instilling into the nose three times a day for a week. Freshly prepared Kalanchoe juice can also be used to wipe the nasal passages. Usually, this remedy is used at the onset of a runny nose. Thus, the swelling of the mucous membrane will decrease, and nasal discharge will be significantly reduced.

To prepare a solution used as drops, you can mix in equal proportions the juice of two equally effective medicinal plants - aloe and Kalanchoe, and also add onion. A decoction of Kalanchoe has a milder effect. For inflammatory and cold diseases, the juice of this medicinal plant is added to a fresh decoction of St. John's wort and lemon balm, and then taken internally. A mixture of Kalanchoe juice with bee honey has an excellent anti-inflammatory and anti-cold effect.

Aloe for a runny nose during pregnancy

A runny nose during pregnancy can be cured with the help of long-tested recipes of traditional medicine, in particular, by using various medicinal plants. For example, aloe (popularly called "century plant") has unique healing properties and is often used in traditional medicine recipes as a remedy with a pronounced antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.

Aloe is an excellent biostimulant. It contains vitamins of groups A, B, C, E, about 20 amino acids, as well as a whole complex of useful microelements. Aloe juice helps to reduce toxic substances in the body, has bactericidal and restorative properties, accelerates wound healing.

Aloe for a runny nose during pregnancy is used in the form of freshly squeezed juice, which has the greatest nutritional and medicinal value. Before use, the aloe leaf should be thoroughly washed, wrapped in tissue paper and “sent” to the refrigerator for a couple of days. Thus, the useful substances in the leaf are activated, and the level of treatment will be much higher. It should be noted that when choosing an aloe leaf for treatment, it is necessary to give preference to one that has a fairly fleshy appearance and a slightly dried tip. A three-year-old aloe plant contains much more antioxidants, vitamins and useful minerals than a young one.

To prepare an aloe tincture, grind an aloe leaf in a blender or on a grater. The resulting mass should be placed in a small container, then filled with alcohol and kept for 10 days. With a runny nose and cold, such an aloe tincture will help restore strength. In the autumn-winter season, this remedy can be used as an effective preventive measure. Pregnant women should use the tincture for nasal drops, having previously diluted it with water in a ratio of 1: 1. With profuse nasal discharge, it is enough to use 2 drops in each nasal passage. If you overdo it with the use of this solution, you can cause dryness of the mucous membrane or get a burn of the internal nasal sinuses.

Aloe for a runny nose during pregnancy works immediately after it gets into the nose. Under the influence of such a natural antibiotic, toxins are neutralized, as a result of which the infection stops multiplying. After the procedures of instilling the nose with fresh aloe juice, the swelling of the nasal passages disappears, nasal congestion disappears, and nasal breathing becomes freer. However, it is worth remembering that excessive use of aloe juice or extract can cause burning or irritation of the mucous membrane.

A good effect is provided by a mixture for instillation, prepared from fresh aloe juice, lemon juice and honey. You can use a gauze swab soaked in a solution of aloe, rose hips, eucalyptus and honey. It should be placed in the nostrils for several minutes. Runny nose and nasal congestion from the use of this remedy pass quite quickly. When using aloe, it is necessary to remember that its excessive amount can provoke muscle contractions of the uterus. Therefore, before using this plant to get rid of a runny nose, the expectant mother should consult a doctor.
