Alcodez ic
Medical expert of the article
Last reviewed: 04.07.2025
Alcodez ic has detoxifying, anti-alcohol and hepatoprotective activity. It activates the activity of intrahepatic enzymes that are participants in the metabolic processes of ethanol (ADH with ALDH), which allows increasing the rate of excretion of acetaldehyde with ethanol from the body by weakening their toxic properties.
The drug increases the resistance of hepatocytes to the products of lipid peroxidation, which develops under the influence of various toxic elements, including ethanol. It prevents the accumulation of fats inside hepatocytes, due to which fatty intrahepatic infiltration does not occur. At the same time, the drug prevents the formation of collagen with fibronectin and slows the development of liver cirrhosis. [ 1 ]
