We were convinced that celery is a unique plant that gives a person youth and beauty. But in nature there are many other useful plants with a diverse nutritional composition, many of them are included in various diets. Why is the celery diet so popular and so impressive?

The reason lies in the chemical and nutritional composition of celery. Even if one consumes only one root crop (its various parts) for a few days, a person will not feel hungry and depressed, as is the case with strict mono diets. A rich vitamin-mineral composition of celery gives the body almost everything necessary for saturation and normal functioning, and a high fiber content allows you to maintain a feeling of satiety for a long time.

This allows you to limit the use of other products that provide energy and strength, which, with a high content of fats and carbohydrates and a deficiency of plant fibers, often cause excess weight. And sometimes, and completely abandon them, if you urgently need to lose 3-4 kilograms, which is possible with a short-term strict diet in celery.

The choice for celery as a basis for the diet fell and because of the low calorie content of different parts of the plant. Celery diet for 1 day (unloading days)

Such unloading implies the use of freshly squeezed celery juice throughout the day. For its preparation, the petioles and leaves of the plant are best suited. Celery juice and fresh juice during the fasting day are both the main meal, and snack, while the body receives such a supply of useful substances for a day that it does not always have with a full, varied diet.

Unloading days can be improved. For example, include apples in the diet. For example, for breakfast and lunch, add 1-2 apples to the celery juice, and during the second breakfast (lunch), snack and dinner, give preference to juices and fresh celery, alternating between them. Before going to bed, a little juice is recommended, which will help to remove the feeling of hunger, which prevents falling asleep and a full night's rest.

You can carry out unloading by including in the diet only celery and low-calorie vegetables. Celery diet for 3 days

If the body responds positively to fasting days, you can try a 3-day mono-diet. True, it is not necessary to resort to it without special need, because it will be a certain stress for the body, it is not in vain for such a short period that it takes up to 4-5 kg of weight.

The three-day monodicate means the use of celery throughout the day in any form: fresh, baked, boiled, in the form of juices and fresh, soup-mashed potatoes. This is a rather hard variant of dietary nutrition, since for the organism it is preferable to eat a variety of foods.

But there are other, more interesting options for a 3-day diet, in which, in addition to celery, there are other low-calorie foods:

  • Activating the work of the intestine and gallbladder.  The main component of the diet is fresh celery juice, obtained from the root and petiolate parts of the plant. At three meals a day, it should be consumed 30-40 minutes before the main meal in the amount of 20 ml (4 teaspoons). You do not need to drink juice with water.

In this scenario, the juice will activate the production of digestive enzymes, improve the digestion of food, stimulate the excretory system (urination, intestinal cleansing).

The food taken during the diet should be extremely low-calorie, so that the daily amount of calories in it does not exceed 1200 kcal. It can be low-fat varieties of meat and fish, seafood, vegetables (undesirable potatoes and beets), low-calorie fruits and berries (they do not include banana and grapes), dairy and sour-milk products, the fat content of which is within 0-1%.

Drinking with a 3-day celery diet needs a lot. Suitable are any beverages without sugar, including coffee, tea, still mineral water. True, it is not necessary to abuse coffee drinks, because they can increase appetite and cause hunger, which is undesirable in this situation.

  • Salad dressing. This is a three-day use of salads based on celery. As a dressing, they are suitable for any vegetable oil (preferably olive or sesame), low-fat yogurt, kefir, balsamic and wine vinegar. The composition of salads can include protein products, the amount of which should not be more than 25% of the total composition of products.
  • Soup option.  Within 3 days it is allowed to consume an unlimited amount of celery soup (we will give recipes for its preparation below) and various parts of the plant in fresh form (in the form of salads, smoothies, fresh). The drinking regime is to consume large amounts of clean water. You can also include in the diet 1-2 small cups of green tea, but sugar can not be added to the drink.

All of the above diet options are not recommended for more than 3 days. Yes, and repeat them can be no earlier than 2-3 weeks, when the digestive system will rest from stress. Diets designed for a longer period should have a more varied diet and include food of varying consistency, which is necessary to maintain the stable functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Celery diet for 4 days

This variant of the diet is not very popular, although the dishes are more nutritious and the total calorie content is higher. The results of such a diet will accordingly be more modest (minus 2-3 kg).

The main condition of the 4-day diet is the inclusion of celery in the salads, which must be present in the menu scheduled for mid-afternoon snack. In this case, the content of various parts of the plant in them should be at least 50%. The remaining meals should contain lean meat (for example, steamed chicken, baked pollock fillets, boiled chicken without skin), dairy and sour-milk products with low fat content, fruit.

Celery in dishes can be added in any form, but on the table it should be present daily at least once a day.

Celery diet for 7 days

The basis of the weekly diet is celery soup, which should be present on the menu of all seven days. The original version of this soup was developed by American doctors, who were concerned about the impossibility of performing urgent cardiac operations because of excess weight of patients. But it is this country that holds the leading place in terms of the number of people suffering from obesity.

The following recipe for soup is the brainchild of professionals who know all the secrets of rapid weight loss. For its preparation we need the following ingredients:

  • Celery root - 100 g
  • Celery celery - 150 g
  • Cabbage (Peking, white) - 300 g
  • Fresh tomatoes - 300-350 g
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1-2 pcs.
  • Asparagus or asparagus beans - 150 g
  • Onions - 250 g
  • Carrots - 100-150 g
  • Water - 700-800 g

First for a quarter of an hour in the water boiled shredded root of celery, carrots and slightly less than half of the onions used (a pair of bulbs). Then add the crushed peppers, celery stalks, asparagus to the soup. Tomatoes are turned into a tomato juice with a blender and added to the soup 15 minutes before the end of cooking with cabbage.

Boil the vegetable soup on low heat without adding salt. During eating, it is allowed to lightly flavor it with soy sauce. In general, during any version of the celery diet, the amount of salt used should be minimized.

In addition to the celery soup, a weekly diet implies the inclusion in the diet and other healthy products: vegetables, fruits, lean meat, low-fat dairy products, which will be added to the celery soup. In this case, the menu will be more balanced, so for all 7 days a person does not experience hunger and some nervousness observed during eating monotonous food.

Again, there are no restrictions on the amount of eating celery soup, but you need to feel the measure in everything. Stretching of the stomach has not yet benefited anyone. It is better to eat your usual norm and wait 20 minutes, during which a feeling of satiety usually appears, than to stretch the stomach and thereby increase this rate, putting a serious obstacle on the way to losing weight.

To eat during the diet should be regularly, not allowing the appearance of hunger. The main meals should be at least three. This is necessary to maintain the stable functioning of the digestive system. Food should be as diverse as possible. Vegetables, including celery, can be eaten either raw, or boiled or baked. But you need to take into account that after 6 pm you should give preference to fresh celery, juices, fresh and smoothies from it.

Consider an approximate menu of a celery diet for a week:

First day. Celery soup and favorite fruits, except for bananas and grapes, characterized by high caloric content, the total weight of about 1 kilogram.

Day four. The menu includes the same products and in the same amounts that were recommended on the 3rd day of the diet, but you can add a glass of low-fat milk, kefir or yogurt to them.

Day five. On this day, along with the celery soup, you can include in the diet about 1 kg of non-starchy vegetables (a good option will be tomatoes in any form, except fried) and about 300-350 grams of beef or veal meat (boiled, baked or steamed fat).

The sixth day. The diet is identical to the fifth day and includes dishes from vegetables and beef. Do not forget about the soup of celery, which should be on the menu every day.

The seventh day. On this day in the menu, along with celery soup, you can add 3 tablespoons of boiled brown (unpolished) rice and freshly squeezed juices from different fruits.

The celery soup itself is a dish that is easily digested and digested in the digestive tract. The rest of the dishes should also be light and low-caloric if possible, yet the diet is designed to reduce weight. Drinking during a diet can be any drinks: teas, juices, coffee, fruit drinks, but you can not add sugar to them. You can drink coffee, but only without milk or cream. During the week, you need to drink plenty of water (about 2 liters a day), which will contribute to an intensive cleansing of the body.

Celery diet for weight loss for 14 days

This two-week diet is a 7-day option. To implement it, you can, for example, take the weekly menu described above and apply it for another 7 days. In this case, the menu of the eighth day will coincide with the first, the ninth - with the second, etc. And you can stick to this option:

Day one and eighth. Celery soup plus fruits with low starch content, juice or coffee without added sugar.

Day two and the ninth. Soup and boiled vegetables, including a couple of pieces of boiled or baked potatoes. Vegetables can be buttered with vegetable oil.

Day three and ten. 1 medium sized potato baked in a skin, a celery soup in unlimited quantities, green or herbal tea.

Day four and eleventh. Soup of celery, during 3 basic meals you can eat 1 small piece of banana, low-fat kefir up to 1 liter.

Day five and twelfth. To celery soup we add protein foods: lean fish, turkey chicken or beef in boiled form (300-350 g). Among vegetables, we prefer tomatoes (5-6 pieces).

Day six and thirteenth. The diet is identical to the previous day, but the amount of vegetables can be increased to 2 kg. Vegetables can be used any, except potatoes and legumes.

Day seven and fourteenth. Celery soup, 2-3 tablespoons boiled unpolished rice and about 1 kg of various vegetables (potatoes not more than 1 piece). In addition to water, you can drink about 300 g of fruit juices and fresh fruits per day.

It is very important during a two-week diet to drink at least 2 liters of water a day, and preferably 2.5-3 liters. Thus, you can not only lose weight (and for a day the celery diet usually goes from 0.5 to 1 kg), but also clean and improve your body, which while not experiencing stress and stress. Let's start with a variety of options for cooking celery soup, which have been refined and modernized by fans of diets with a well-developed imagination. They may differ slightly from the prescription developed by American doctors, but they are quite suitable for diversifying the diet during a diet.

Option 1.

  • White cabbage - about 400-450 g
  • Red onion - 6 pcs.
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc. Medium size
  • Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
  • Celery celery - 250-300 g

Cabbage finely shred, also finely chopped and onions. Pepper, peeled tomato and celery stalks cut into small cubes.   • Tomato juice - 1,5 l
  • Dill and parsley to taste

All the ingredients are finely chopped, we fall asleep in a saucepan and pour tomato juice (if necessary, dilute it with water). Bring our soup to the boil and stand for 10 minutes with a strong boil, and then another as much on low heat.

Option 4

  • Celery root - 1 medium
  • Celery or leaves of celery - 200-300 g
  • White cabbage - 300-350 g

All vegetables except for 1 bulb are crushed, pour 3 liters of water and bring to a boil on high heat. Fire diminishes, and cook soup another quarter of an hour. There are a lot of options for making a celery soup, but none of them uses salt. Already during a meal in a ready dish you can add very little sea salt or soy sauce, but it is better to try to feel the real taste of vegetables and fall in love with it. Three vegetables on medium or large grater, fill them with a small amount of vegetable oil and sprinkle with lemon juice.

  • Cherry tomatoes - 0,5 kg
  • Celery globules - 1 bundle
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.
  • Garlic - 3 teeth
  • Cilantro - a small bundle

We cut tomatoes halves, celery - small pieces across the fibers, pepper - slices or straws. Vegetables are mixed, add crushed garlic to them, pour with dressing from olive oil and lemon juice, we decorate with cilantro.

Vegetable salad with yogurt

  • Diced celery cherry - 2 cups
  • Cucumber cubes and carrots on a large grater - ½ cup
  • Garlic - 1-2 teeth
  • Onion is a small piece.

Vegetables are mixed, sprinkled with chopped garlic and grated onion. Add the finely chopped parsley. Everything is mixed and refueled with yoghurt. You can use a mixture of yoghurt and skimmed cream (buttermilk).

Meat salad with celery

  • Celery root - 1 pc.
  • Cuttings of celery - 2 pcs.
  • Boiled chicken breast fillet - 1 pc.
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.

Root celery three on a grater, and chereshkovy and other vegetables finely chopped. Add chopped chicken fillets, season with chopped green onions, pour low-fat yogurt, mix and spread on green leaves of your favorite salad.

  • increases the immunity and hemoglobin level in the blood,
  • helps women suffering from menopause and PMS, reduces the soreness of menstruation,
  • improves the condition of the skin, hair, nails,
  • strengthens blood vessels (in this case it is useful to drink fresh celery juice),
  • prevents accumulation and subsidence on the walls of the vessels of bad cholesterol,
