  • How does the baby sleep?

In the seventh month of life, the baby's sleep becomes longer. The duration of sleep depends on the daily routine, the child's emotionality and the surrounding noise. At this age, sometimes a little earlier, the baby can sleep on his knees and lying on his chest on the bed. Do not try to put him on his side or on his back. This position is as natural for children as any other. Usually at seven months, the baby sleeps two or three times during the day.

A child's sleep largely determines not only his health, but also the body's resistance and stability, its adaptation and adaptability to living conditions.

The need for sleep varies from child to child. It depends on the child's character and the organization of his/her waking hours. There is a fairly clear connection between the child's age and the duration of his/her sleep. At nine months, a child usually sleeps for about 2/3 of the day. At the same time, more active children sleep twice a day. The period of wakefulness is extended and a healthy child can stay awake for three to four hours without harming his/her well-being. Naturally, you should slightly change the daily routine of a nine-month-old child. As a rule, this routine will remain until about one and a half years.

  • What is the child playing with?

Since toys and the game itself are a learning process, at the age of seven months, you need to select toys for the child that will develop certain target actions. For example: open - close, put in - take out, push out - push in, rock, roll, etc. At this age, the child is attracted to wind-up toys or toys that make sounds other than rattles. Kitchen utensils can be very useful, since the child really wants to imitate adults.

The child is already beginning to understand that the cube or apple hidden under the handkerchief has not disappeared. He tears the handkerchief off with his hand and looks at you happily: "Here's an apple!" You can cover your head with a towel, and the child will take it off you. Say to him: "Peek-a-boo!" You will see: your baby will be happy!

If you are reading a book to your child or playing with him, take his favorite teddy bear or doll with you. The presence of the toy will later be associated with the fact that you are with the child. And in the future, this will allow you to leave the child with his "friend" for a short time while you leave the room. The toy can also "help" the child fall asleep.

At seven to nine months, a child loves to play "ram - bushi", "horned goat". The thing is that any physical contact with an adult (especially mom and dad) shortens the distance during communication and serves as the highest form of expression of acceptance of one person by another. Therefore, he happily quietly leans against your forehead under your "ram - ram - ram - bushi!". When you touch his chest and tummy with your fingertips, saying: "The horned goat is coming for the little guys...", and at the end of the rhyme - "... I'll gore, I'll gore!", he cringes and is afraid of the goat, but laughs and is simply happy!

Colored books with large pictures - berries, flowers, animals, cars - will be very useful for the game.

The child already distinguishes not only the color and shape of objects, but also their sizes. Therefore, it is already necessary to buy him a pyramid and teach him to assemble it. The baby develops an interest in toys in the hands of adults or other children. He throws his toy and reaches for someone else's.
