In recent years, sunscreens have been widely added to various cosmetic products for hair care. As a rule, they are used during a seaside vacation and are designed to protect hair from both ultraviolet radiation and contact with salt water. Various filters against UVA and UVB rays (benzophenones, para-aminobenzoic acid, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, etc.) are used as sunscreens. These products are used in the form of gel, aerosol, foam, and hair cream. It should also be remembered that wearing a hat or panama on sunny days provides hair and scalp with protection similar to SPF (sun protection factor) = 5-7.
