The growth of unwanted hair on the arms stops after laser exposure. Only experienced cosmetologists perform laser hair removal of the arms using special equipment. A beauty salon that has a license for a laser device is in demand.
Indications for the procedure
Laser hair removal is a harmless method of hair removal, but the procedure should be approached with care to avoid complications.
Indications for the procedure are:
- excess vegetation;
- ingrown hairs;
- sensitive skin;
- light skin with black hair.
In some cases, a cosmetologist has the right to refuse a client if the procedure is not mandatory.
The following recommendations must be followed:
- do not cause injury (plucking);
- do not use cosmetics;
- Do not perform laser hair removal during your menstrual cycle to avoid pain.
Clients are required to discuss any questions they may have with the cosmetologist in advance.
Technique laser hand hair removal
The doctor is obliged to assess the condition of the skin: to determine the color and type of skin. Salons practice testing - the effect of the laser on the skin. This allows choosing an effective method, including the degree of impact of the laser beam. If necessary, anesthesia is used. The client is asked to put on glasses that will protect the eyes from the "flashes" of the laser. The doctor moves the manipulator over the skin. The procedure lasts up to an hour, depending on the area of application. After the first epilation session, part of the hair burns off. The rest of the hair will fall out within two weeks. When the hair grows back, the laser exposure method is used again.
Contraindications to the procedure
The hair removal procedure is safe, but may have some contraindications. By following the rules for using the device, you can prevent complications from developing after skin manipulations.
Direct contraindications:
- patients not younger than 18 years of age;
- high blood pressure;
- taking antibiotics;
- herpes;
- oncological diseases;
- diabetes;
- individual intolerance;
- dark or tanned skin;
- grayish, light hair;
Conditional contraindications:

After epilation, skin redness and swelling are possible. Doctors recommend using a cream that softens the effect of the laser.
The difficult moment after the procedure is excessive hair growth and the occurrence of burns.
Acneiform rash (pimples) may occur in young people.
The laser hair removal procedure can lead to negative results that are not amenable to treatment:
- pigmentation disorders;
- increased hair growth;
- scarring;
- increased sweating (hyperhidrosis);
- tissue degeneration.
Care after the procedure
After laser hair removal of hands, the skin requires constant care. Failure to comply with the doctor's instructions leads to negative results.
The following recommendations must be followed:
- Apply the cream prescribed by the doctor to the skin areas;
- Do not pull out burnt hair roots. They usually fall out within 10 days;
- It is prohibited to use cosmetic and medicinal products that contain alcohol;
- For 24 hours, it is prohibited to wet the covered areas or rub with a washcloth.
- Tanning, including solarium, is contraindicated.

Reviews of laser hair removal for hands
After laser treatment, unwanted hair falls out gradually. It will take time for the reddish spots on the hands to disappear. With regular treatment, positive results can be achieved. The duration of one course of laser hair removal on the hands should be 2 weeks, every day. To get rid of unwanted hair on the hands, two or three sessions per year are necessary: in the spring, when the skin has not yet tanned, and before the New Year, when the tan has faded.
