Care for any skin type is divided into individual (carried out at home) and professional (carried out in a cosmetology office).

Basic skin care at home consists of morning and evening procedures.

General recommendations for morning care are as follows:

  • Washing the face and neck using cosmetic milk, cream, gel, mousse, foam, appropriate for the given skin type.
  • Use of tonics that do not contain alcohol.
  • Use of moisturizer depending on the season.
  • Application of decorative cosmetics.

General recommendations for evening care include the following steps:

  • Basic skin cleansing with cosmetic products.
  • Removing make-up around the eyes and lips using special products.
  • Skin toning.
  • Applying a moisturizing cream to the face, a special eye cream (2-3 hours before bedtime).

In a cosmetology facility, cosmetic procedures are performed, selected in accordance with the skin type and main aesthetic problems (age-related changes, dehydration, increased sensitivity, etc.).

It is important to emphasize that all manipulations on the face and neck are carried out along the lines of least skin stretching:

  • from the middle line of the forehead to the temples;
  • from the inner corner of the eye to the outer along the upper eyelid and in the opposite direction along the lower eyelid;
  • from the wings of the nose to the top of the auricle;
  • from the corners of the mouth to the tragus of the auricle;
  • from the chin and lower lip to the earlobe;
  • along the front surface of the neck - from bottom to top;
  • along the lateral surfaces of the neck - from top to bottom.
