At home, you need to perform a thorough, but gentle cleansing of the face and neck. Purification can be achieved in many ways. The method of skin cleansing with the help of various cleansing creams or emulsions has been widely spread for many decades. Basically, these are cold creams, which contain various waxes, mineral oils, and also borax as an emulsifier. These creams are usually applied with fingers and evenly distributed over the entire surface of the skin. They can be removed with a soft cloth or cotton swab, and also washed off with water. Mineral oils that make up these creams play the role of unique solvents that are capable of dissolving decorative cosmetics (in case of cleansing the face) and exogenous contamination

More modern means for cleaning dry skin include non-ionic detergents, such as esters and fatty acid micelles. It has been shown that such ingredients allow the creation of a cleaning emulsion of a lighter texture. In addition, they are able to provide high-quality cleaning of the skin without removing from its surface natural lipids, such as ceramides and cerebrosides. That is why these emulsions are most popular for cleaning dry and very dry skin, in the genesis of which often note the lack of lipids between the scales in the stratum corneum. Manufacturers of the most high-quality means for cleaning dry skin include the missing lipids in them to create a protective film on the surface of the stratum corneum. In particular, many of the modern emulsions for skin cleansing include esters of fatty acids, wax esters, ceramides or cerebrosides.

Adequate cleaning of dry skin is extremely important. The use of detergents and emulsions containing anionic detergents not only increases the dryness of the skin, but also increases its permeability for various substances, including allergens that get on the skin in the future. For example, it was shown that the intolerance of some moisturizers containing retinol palmitate was directly related to the quality of the purifier used by the patients before applying the moisturizer. In addition, microcracks appearing on the surface of the skin can serve as input gates for secondary infection.

At home, tonic for dry skin can serve as infusions of chamomile, mother-and-stepmother, linden, balm, bergamot, ginseng, parsley, a thousand leaf, mint, lavender, mallow, garden violet, marigold, geranium, etc. The prepared solution is wiped face and neck 2 times a day, after applying cleansing milk. Infusions are prepared in small amounts (200 ml) and stored in the refrigerator. At the same time, ready-made cosmetics, including tonics, which are to be selected with appropriate marking, are gaining popularity.

Masks for the face can be prepared by yourself or use professional beauty masks offered by a cosmetologist, the use of which is allowed at home ("homework"). To prepare a mask at home, only high-quality and fresh products are used. The mask is prepared immediately before use. Storage of mask residues in the refrigerator is not allowed. Freshly prepared mask is applied to cleansed face and neck skin, for 15-20 minutes. Then the mask is washed off with cool water. The face is treated with a tonic for dry skin or infusions of herbs, and a moisturizer is applied. Masks are recommended not to be done more than 1-2 times a week. It should be remembered that plant extracts and some food products (honey, egg yolk and protein, citrus juices, etc.), often used to make masks and tonic liquids at home, are allergens.

The question of using peeling creams at home is solved individually. In the absence of contraindications, as well as with good tolerance, peeling creams can be recommended as skin care, but it must be remembered that these procedures should not be prescribed more than once in 1.5-2 weeks, in severe frosts, and also with active insolation.

The use of classical dermatological prescriptions for dry skin, for today, is irrelevant. As the composition of almost all the words includes lanolin - animal fat, which is the main component of sheep's fat and extracted from sheep wool washing. Lanolin fatten the skin and has only an indirect moisturizing effect, has a comedogenic effect, and in recent years, cases of hypersensitivity to lanolin, most likely due to its poor purification, have become more frequent.

In the conditions of the cosmetic establishment, standard procedures for skin cleansing and toning are carried out using the means intended for this type of skin. The question of the appointment of peeling with dry skin is solved individually. Preference should be given to mechanical peelings for dry, sensitive skin, glycopiligins with a small percentage of glycolic acid (25-50%), and ultrasound peeling. It should be noted that with a dry skin type, the use of rosaceous peels for peeling cream is not recommended. Before the first procedure of glycopilation in a cosmetology salon, the necessary preparation is necessary. So, at home, patients are recommended for 2 weeks, 1-2 times a day to apply on the face and neck creams, which include fruit acids (up to 8-15%). The procedure of glycopilation is carried out every other day, for a course of 5-10 procedures. The effect after these procedures is maintained for 1.5-2 months. It is not recommended to perform the procedure of glycopilation in severe frosts and during active insolation.

Patients with dry skin are shown hygienic facial massage with the use of a cosmetic massage cream or oil. The duration of the massage is on average 20 minutes, for a course of 10-15 sessions, every other day or 2 times a week. Repeated massage courses are recommended every six months. With dry skin with signs of a pronounced decrease in turgor, plastic massage is indicated for talcum powder. The duration of the massage is on average 12-15 minutes, for a course of 10-20 sessions, every other day or twice a week, repeated courses 2 times a year. You can alternate between sessions of plastic and hygienic massage. It is recommended to use moisturizing masks and collagen sheets for dry skin.

For the implementation of complex procedures for intensive care of a bitch of the linden and neck, the following physiotherapeutic procedures are recommended.

  • Vaporization. In combination with an ozone lamp it is used to steam the face skin before vacuum and mechanical cleaning, as well as to improve the absorption of cosmetic creams and masks. It can cause overdrying of the skin, therefore, the use of vaporization in dry skin is only permissible when the apparatus is located at a considerable distance from the patient's face and when a hot steam stream is supplied along the tangent vector. On the eye area should be put cotton wool sponge, moistened with a toning fluid for the eyelids. The method is contraindicated in the presence of a network of dilated blood vessels. The duration of the procedure is 1-3 minutes.
  • Disincrustation. The method is based on the principle of galvanization, using solutions of bicarbonate or sodium chloride (2-5%) on a negative electrode, as well as a special solution-disincrustant. Due to therapeutic electrolysis, an alkali is formed at the negative pole, changing the pH of the skin, which contributes to the dissolution and removal of the secretion of the sebaceous glands from the excretory ducts. With dry skin type, this procedure can be used to cleanse the "pore, in the presence of closed or open comedones in the central part of the face.
  • Vacuum spray. Skin cleansing and massage with vacuum for dry skin are not recommended. The work in the spraying mode (spray) with the use of dry skin type lotions has a tonic effect, improves microcirculation and nutrition of the skin, enhances lymphatic drainage.
  • Darsonvalization by talc or a dry antiseptic mask, due to the pronounced drying effect on the skin, is applied to a limited extent. With dry, flabby skin darsonvalization is carried out using a contact, labile technique, the final cream, which has a slight lifting effect. The duration of the procedure is on average 7-10 minutes, for a course of 10-15 sessions.
  • The use of ultrasound and iontophoresis makes it possible to intensify the effects of applied cosmetic products and medications.
  •   Myostimulation is included in a set of cosmetic procedures for the care of dry face skin, usually before applying the mask, both to prevent age-related changes, and to combat the already existing signs of skin aging. With dry, flabby skin, it is advisable to use myostimulation in combination with hygienic or plastic massage and paraffin masks. It should be noted that patients under 35-40 years of age should not be prescribed myostimulation.
  • Microcurrent therapy (the procedure is performed every other day for 10-15 sessions), a therapeutic laser, photorejuvenation, as well as electrostatic massage and aromatherapy with essential oils of tea tree, balm, bergamot, mint, lavender, rosemary, ginseng, sandalwood and avocado are widely used in complex care for dry skin of the face and neck.
  • The purpose of the cryomassage procedure with liquid nitrogen is justified only with dry skin with a pronounced decrease in turgor. Cotton swab on the wooden rod is carried out by light stroking movements for 1-2 minutes on each massage line, without pressure and stops, periodically immersing it in a thermos bottle with liquid nitrogen. The procedure is carried out on dry skin of the face, 1-2 times a week, for a course of 10-15 sessions. The use of carbonic acid snow for cryomassage is not recommended, because of the high risk of burns. Cryomassage is not assigned during the active insolation.

Care for sensitive skin

The physician's tactics depend on the correctness of the diagnosis of concomitant dermatosis (rosacea, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, perioral dermatitis, etc.). The timely and pathogenetically balanced external and systemic therapy of the underlying disease is shown.

With "sensitive" skin, gentle home skin care is necessary including gentle cleansing, adequate moisturizing and photoprotection. As a basic means for skin care of such patients, various "for sensitive skin" programs can be offered.

From cosmetic procedures in a cosmetology facility, patients are prescribed microcurrent therapy, iontophoresis, ultrasound with various anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictive agents, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory masks, aromatherapy, and photochromotherapy. Contraindicated vaporization, rassezazh, vacuum massage, manual massage, cryomassage, disincrustation, thermoactive and plasticizing masks, ultraviolet irradiation. It should once again emphasize the need for a comprehensive and analytical medical approach to patients with "sensitive" skin.
