Recent studies by English sociologists have found that women spend more money on various preparatory activities than on the trip itself. First on the list of summer expenses are salon preparations. The purpose of a trip to the sea is the beach. Women spend about $577 on cosmetic procedures, preparing their bodies for the beach. While the costs for the seven-day trip itself are 2 times less.

Women spend more money preparing for a holiday than on the holiday itself

Among salon services, the most popular are such procedures as manicure, pedicure, epilation, permanent makeup. But the most surprising thing is artificial tan. The goal of cute creatures is not at all to look great on the beach. A good holiday is something more than just an attractive appearance, says Sarah Stern from the British department store chain Debenhams.

Women are ready to pay big money to get pleasure. The study also showed that young ladies spend almost 11 hours to get themselves in order for the trip. Preparations begin approximately 3 weeks before the vacation. Fake tan is on the list of priorities, because many girls have not had the opportunity to pamper themselves with a tan (the weather does not allow it). It is on the eve of vacations and in the midst of them that ladies are ready to splurge on beauty salons. Apparently, a week of vacation is worth it to become a real goddess.
