Everyone knows that a sedentary lifestyle is harmful to health, but what should you do if your chosen profession does not involve physical activity, but on the contrary, requires constant presence in the office, at your desk? Even when we come home from work, we do not think that we need to stretch, but lay our body on the sofa, counting on the fact that such passive lying will bring benefits to the body.

We offer you several useful habits that will help reduce the negative impact of a sedentary lifestyle.

Conversations on the phone

When at home or at work, give up the habit of conducting negotiations while lounging in a chair. If the length of the cord does not allow you to "walk" too far, then stand, shifting from foot to foot - this is already a small warm-up.

After lunch walk

After eating, the concentration of fats in the blood is at its maximum, so you should not "tie up the fat" and rest after a heavy lunch. It is better to shake off the calories you have eaten and take a walk. A leisurely walk will increase the production of the enzyme lipoprotein lipase, which stimulates metabolism and promotes rapid fat burning.

Move more while relaxing in nature

You can enjoy nature actively, and not just by sitting down and eating a delicious shashlik. After a hearty lunch, you will probably want to lie down, but you shouldn’t do that. You will feel much more energetic if you join in active games.

Please resolve all issues personally.

Email, social media and phone calls are not necessary if your colleague is in the next office. It is better to visit him once more and resolve all issues in person. If you think that such visits will only reduce productivity, do not drag out the conversation, resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Change your posture or position throughout the day

If you work on a laptop, this will make the task easier, because you can move it from the table to the nightstand, thus changing the height. If the computer is stationary, try changing the position of your body or the height of the chair you are sitting on.

In general, try to take advantage of any opportunity to get up from your chair and move around at least a little.
