According to a new study conducted in the UK, the shape of a woman's eyebrows can give more detailed information about where she comes from. Moreover, it is noted that eyebrows will tell where a woman is from even better than, for example, her accent. Southern women buy 93 per cent more natural-coloured eyebrow pencils, while sales of dark-coloured pencils and brow wax are significantly higher in Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds. Scottish women pluck their eyebrows to create a "bar" shape. They have the straightest eyebrow shape, while women from the northern part of the UK shape their eyebrows into a semi-circle, which is called a "happy brow". Women of Welsh descent, such as Catherine Zeta-Jones, choose a soft arched shape.
