Last reviewed: 30.06.2025
A British soft drinks company has conducted a study which found that the average Briton spends more than five years of their life hungover.
According to the results of the survey, which involved more than 1,500 people, between the ages of 21 and 38, Britons suffer from the consequences of drinking alcohol on average 60 days a year. Between the ages of 38 and 46, the average number of hangover days per year is 45, and between 46 and 60, it is 23 days. In total, this amounts to 1,926 days or 5.27 years.
It is specified that, according to the latest data, the British annually miss 13 million working days due to a hangover. Recall that earlier British scientists conducted a study, during which it was established that 520 thousand people come to work with a severe hangover syndrome.
