Medical specialists from the United States reported on their new discovery: it turned out that the early morning recovery negatively affects the performance of a person during the day.

The experiment was conducted with the participation of able-bodied volunteers who were engaged in the same field of activity, but had a different working schedule.

Based on the results of the experiment, specialists determined that those workers who started their work 1-2 hours later demonstrated better labor productivity, unlike those who came to work "earlier".

Experts estimated that the labor productivity of the first category of workers was higher by approximately 18%.

At the end of the study, the researchers conducted a survey among the volunteers tested. As a result, it was found that people themselves had noticed earlier: after an early awakening, it was more difficult for them to start working, and their efficiency began to rise only a few hours from the beginning of the working day. By the way, among the workers who came to the service "neither light, nor dawn", there were fewer people who achieved high-quality professional and career growth.

A little earlier, scientific experts came to the conclusion that successful daycare can also be hindered by daytime sleep: according to the results of the experiments, daytime sleep is the prerogative of poor people, without special life goals. Successful people still prefer to rest at night.

To this research, workers of similar specialties and professions belonging to the age category of 27-45 years were involved.

Based on the results of this experiment, the following conclusions were drawn:

  • those who get up 1-2 hours later, throughout the day, maintain optimal working capacity and are more successful at work.
  • in the "owls" IQ indicators were slightly higher than for "larks";
  • those who woke up a little later, both intellectual and physical activity, were higher;
  • Workers who started their work day later were more adapted to the working environment.

At the same time, such lovers of sleep, who came to the office closer to the lunch break, were worse than the first two categories of workers in terms of their ability to work. Scientists have made this conclusion that excessive sleep can reduce the efficiency factor to a minimum. Having slept at home, many subjects continued to "sleep" in the workplace.

In general, the issue of the benefits and dangers of early awakening is considered by world experts in a much broader perspective. A huge contribution to the study of this problem is made by British scientists who regularly conduct similar experiments on the connection between early and late awakening and other aspects of human life.

So, scientists consider the influence of the length of sleep on body weight, on the development of chronic somatic and even mental diseases, on life expectancy, etc.

Recall that recently somnologists determined why some people find it difficult to wake up in the morning?
