An upcoming visit to the dentist causes not just anxiety, but real horror for many people. Not only children, but also some adults are afraid of dentists like fire. It is understandable - not only the medical procedures themselves, but also the atmosphere in the dentist's office inspires fear. Bright, but cold, alarming lighting, medical equipment that makes loud and unpleasant sounds, a chair that looks like an instrument of torture... Such an environment brings the most unpleasant thoughts to the patient and literally screams about the pain that awaits him.

However, such fears are unknown to the clients of Dr. Patti's Dental Boutique, located in the resort town of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This "boutique" combines a dental office and a beauty salon.

"There are about 30 to 40 million people in the United States who are afraid of going to the dentist," says Dr. Patti, whose real name is April Patterson. "I decided to do everything I could to make my clients forget they were in a dentist's office."

With this goal in mind, Dr. Patterson created a practice that truly stands out from other dentists. Her “boutique” offers all the services that a classic spa offers, from standard cosmetic procedures to eyelash and eyebrow massages. Naturally, this “boutique” also treats teeth; it’s a dental practice after all.

“I offer high-end, quality dental services along with a full menu of spa treatments,” explains April Patterson. “I can give you a great example of how different types of services can coexist in the same room and complement each other,” says Dr. Patti. “A client comes in to have veneers (special plates that replace the top layer of teeth, camouflaging existing ones and protecting against further damage). If they come an hour early, we will give them a facial and other relaxing treatments. As a result, when the client sits in the dentist’s chair, he feels calm and at peace.”

Christina Carter is a typical client of Dr. Patti's Dental Boutique. She came to April Patterson to get her braces removed, but stayed for a cosmetic procedure. "For a busy professional like me, this place allows me to get dental care, cosmetic procedures, massages, and just relax," explains Christina Carter. "When you're busy, it's great to be able to do it all in one place."

But it's not just women who are drawn to Dr. Patti's innovative dental practice. Andrew Eller can attest to that. He came in for veneers and left with facial Botox. "I'm better than I ever imagined," Andrew boasts of his improved appearance. "Although it took a lot of convincing for the doctor to get me to do my face as well as my teeth."

"We don't just take care of teeth here. We help people gain confidence and change their lives for the better," Dr. Patti says proudly.
