Today, during the spring vitamin deficiency, all fashion magazines are full of advice that in order to strengthen the immune system, one should drink as many freshly squeezed vegetable and fruit juices as possible. Not to mention that every second Hollywood actress has ever advertised a juice diet. Fans of fruit and vegetable drinks claim that they can prevent cancer and save from seasonal vitamin deficiency.

Experts believe that fresh juices can have a negative effect on the body. It cannot be said that doctors deny the benefits of fresh products, but they are sure that whole vegetables and fruits are dozens of times healthier than those processed with a juicer. If you look into it, it is quite difficult to come to a clear opinion. Of course, freshly squeezed juice contains many more vitamins, antioxidants and other useful substances than those juices that are already poured into cardboard packages by manufacturers. Juice prepared at home, using a blender or juicer, is a highly concentrated healthy drink, which, however, should not be abused.

Speaking about the beneficial properties of fresh juices, we should mention vegetable mixtures. On the one hand, vegetables such as beets, carrots, celery are necessary for the body, but on the other hand, few people would agree to have a salad of raw vegetables for breakfast every day. In this case, fresh juice is an excellent solution for those who monitor their health and try to eat right. Recent studies have shown that celery juice helps reduce cholesterol levels. The substances contained in fresh celery juice can also have a positive effect on the health of blood vessels and stabilize blood pressure. The recommended serving of celery is about half a glass of juice or six to seven fresh stalks. Vegetable juices can prevent Alzheimer's disease: however, for this effect, an adult will need at least three servings of vegetable juice per day (a serving = a two-hundred-gram glass).

Modern nutritionists and endocrinologists advise not to abuse fresh vegetable and, especially, fruit juices. Particular attention should be paid to juices from products with a high glycemic index. For example, watermelon, pineapple, and mango juice will not only contribute to excess weight, but can also lead to diabetes. Sweet fruit juices cause an increase in blood glucose levels.

If you are a fan of fresh juices, it is better to give preference to a mixture of vegetable juices rather than fruit juices. However, you should be careful with fresh beet juice. Beet juice will help increase the level of hemoglobin, but it greatly overloads the liver. If you are trying to lose weight, then fresh juices are not the best option for daily consumption. Almost all fruits contain a large amount of sugar, which will negatively affect body volumes, but will not satisfy hunger. As for the claims that fresh juices can fight cancer, experts cannot confirm the fact that juice has a better effect on the health of the body than fruits or vegetables.
