Actual problem: how to quit drinking beer for a woman?
Last reviewed: 02.07.2025

It's a hot, sultry summer. The open terraces of numerous summer cafes are filled with young girls and boys with glasses filled with amber foaming liquid. Commercials calling for people to quench their thirst with beer interrupt the broadcast of their favorite TV shows every now and then. Billboards on the streets "carefully" remind us of the existence of a drink that can quench any thirst. How can you resist, how can you not try it, and then not become addicted?
How does the problem arise?
Among alcoholic drinks, beer is the leader in sales. Many believe that drinking a bottle of beer a day is impossible to harm your body. Today we will not talk about men's habits, but about women's addiction to this drink and its consequences. Drinking a bottle or two of beer every day, including after work, a woman quenches her thirst, relaxes, and relieves stress. Some time passes and this amount of alcohol no longer has the expected effect on the body, and it becomes necessary to either increase the dose or switch to stronger drinks.
Doctors warn about hormonal disruptions caused by beer consumption, which in turn leads to gynecological problems, infertility, and excess weight. These are serious problems, the solution of which requires large material costs and physical effort. But the most terrible of all is female alcoholism, including beer alcoholism! Have you met degraded, dirty, unwashed, unkempt women? Drunk men also cause little sympathy, but a woman who drinks too much is a hundred times more unsightly, more pitiful, more indecent than a man! How did it happen that a young girl, probably attractive in her youth and freshness, dreaming of becoming a wife, a mother, as is inherent in nature, turned into something that barely resembles a human being? Maybe a harmless, at first glance, habit of drinking a glass of beer led her to this abyss? How to stop? How not to cross the line, beyond which there is a cliff? Where to start?
How to solve it?
Probably many people know cases when people resort to various existing methods of treating alcoholism, namely: coding, hypnosis, taking various anti-alcohol drugs, trainings, etc. But only an effective result occurs if a person himself realized his problem, and not relatives and friends dragged him to the doctor. Thus, a woman needs to admit her dependence on beer.
This is the first step, which is very important for further moves. You have discovered the bitter truth and are ready to act! It would not be superfluous to involve your loved ones and real friends in this problem, because they are no less interested in the success of the undertaking than you are, they need an adequate person next to them, and not an alcoholic. Drive away false friends, there is no doubt that they will recommend using beer to fight depression, which accompanies any addiction, they say, a stake is knocked out. Not true! Trust your loved ones, they care about you!
The second step should be a complete rejection of beer, and not a daily reduction in doses, which would seem logical. At this stage, your close environment should help you fill your life with various pleasant events: entertainment, useful activities, travel, interesting meetings. Try drinking herbal teas, which include lovage, fireweed, centaury, hawthorn fruits and inflorescences. They will calm you down and help develop an aversion to alcohol.
There may be breakdowns and falls on the road to recovery, so do not exclude the intervention of a psychotherapist to eliminate the psychological aspects of beer addiction. If all your efforts do not lead to complete overcoming of the addiction, contact a narcologist who will determine the further path and prescribe medication.
