Indications Vipratox

Vipratox is used in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems characterized by pain, namely rheumatism, neuralgia, lumbago, myalgia, sciatica, arthralgia and radiculitis.

Release form

The medicine Vipratox is produced in the form of a liniment ointment, which is packaged in aluminum tubes of forty-five grams each. The tubes are placed one by one in a cardboard package and supplied with an insert-instruction. One hundred grams of the medicine contains gyurza venom in the amount of sixteen units, three grams of camphor, three grams of fir oil, one gram of salicylic acid and a certain amount of excipients.

Pharmacodynamics

Vipratox is a drug with complex effectiveness, having an irritating, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. The active component of the drug - fir oil - is able to penetrate deeply into the subcutaneous tissue and irritate the vascular nerves. Snake venom has an irritating effect on receptors, leading to the relief of pain, as well as to improved blood flow and tissue trophism. Salicylic acid promotes better penetration of active components into deeper layers of tissue, and also has an antiseptic and distracting effect.

Dosing and administration

The drug Vipratox is used locally. Five to ten grams of the drug is applied to the skin and rubbed in thoroughly until the pain disappears. This should be done once or twice a day. The course of treatment with the drug depends on the patient's problem.

Use Vipratox during pregnancy

Vipratox is not used during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

  • Existing hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
  • The patient's age is under twelve years.

Side effects Vipratox

The appearance of local allergic reactions associated with skin irritation, itching, burning, and also with the appearance of high temperature at the site of application of the medication is observed.

Overdose

  • Signs of allergy may appear in the form of itching, dermatitis, and flaking skin.
  • In this case, it is recommended to interrupt therapy with the drug and wash off all medication from the skin.
