Indications Venter
It is used in the following cases:
- treatment and prevention of exacerbations of gastric or intestinal ulcers;
- hyperphosphatemia in people with uremia undergoing hemodialysis;
- preventing the development of stress-induced ulcers;
- therapy for reflux esophagitis.
Release form
The medicinal substance is released in tablet form, in the amount of 10 pieces inside a blister plate, 5 or 10 plates inside a box.
In addition, the drug is produced in granules, inside 2 g sachets, in the amount of 50 pieces inside a box.
Venter-nova
Venter-nova is produced in tablet form, 12 tablets per blister pack. The pack contains 2 such packs.
Pharmacodynamics
The active component of the drug is the element sucralfate-disaccharide, which contains sucrose sulfate together with aluminum hydroxide. The use of the drug helps to quickly heal ulcerative lesions of a peptic nature, prevents the occurrence of gastrointestinal ulcers, and also helps to protect the gastric mucosa from the negative effects of hydrochloric acid with pepsin. Due to the use of Venter, the activity of pepsin is reduced by 30%. At the same time, the drug does not have a significant effect on the pH of gastric juice.
The therapeutic effect is based on the synthesis of sucralfate with proteins located inside the diseased tissues of the mucous membranes, thus creating a protective film over the ulcer surface. The drug increases the rate of scarring of existing ulcers and healing of damage, and in addition, prevents relapses of the pathology and the appearance of stress-induced ulcers. At the same time, a decrease in the absorption of phosphates in the gastrointestinal tract is noted.
Pharmacokinetics
After oral administration, the active element is weakly absorbed into the circulatory system. The drug does not form clinically significant plasma indicators and does not have a systemic effect. The medicinal component is also not subject to metabolism.
Partial excretion of the drug occurs through the kidneys, and the remainder is excreted through the intestines, unchanged.

Dosing and administration
Venter tablets or granules should be taken orally. Tablets should be swallowed whole with plain water. If the patient has difficulty swallowing the medicine, the tablet can be dissolved in water and then drunk. Granules are also intended for use after dissolving in plain water.
The prepared solution from granules must be consumed before meals (0.5-1 hour). The duration of the treatment cycle is selected by the doctor, who takes into account the severity of the disorder and the individual characteristics of the patient.
An adult should take 2 tablets or 2 sachets of LS granules per day. In this case, this dosage is divided into 2 uses - during the day, before lunch, and then in the evening, before bed.
If the patient is diagnosed with hyperphosphatemia, the dose should be reduced. In the case of a peptic ulcer, the daily dosage can be doubled. The treatment cycle for people with a peptic ulcer lasts approximately 3 months. The medication should not be discontinued before this point, even if the symptoms of the disease disappear. It is recommended to continue therapy until diagnostics are performed, which will confirm that the ulcers have begun to scar.
To prevent the development of ulcers caused by stress, an adult is prescribed to take 1 tablet or sachet, 6 times a day.
To prevent ulcer recurrence, take 1 tablet or packet of the medicine twice a day. A maximum of 8 tablets/packets are allowed per day. People with kidney problems should shorten the treatment cycle.
Children over 4 years of age should take 0.5-1 tablet of the drug, maximum 4 times a day. Prescribing Venter granules to children is prohibited.
Use Venter during pregnancy
Venter should be administered with caution to pregnant or lactating women.

- the presence of strong sensitivity to medicinal elements.
The medication should be prescribed with caution to people with chronic kidney failure.
Side effects Venter
Taking the drug may cause the following negative symptoms: nausea, dry mouth, gastralgia, vomiting, constipation, bloating and diarrhea. In addition, insomnia, pain in the lumbar region, drowsiness, dizziness, signs of allergy and headaches may occur.
Overdose
The medication is often tolerated without complications, so the likelihood of intoxication is minimal.
But using the drug in excessively large doses can lead to the appearance of symptoms of hypersensitivity or allergic signs. Among the manifestations are abdominal pain, vomiting, rash or irritation on the epidermis, and nausea. If such disorders occur, symptomatic procedures should be performed.
In people with renal failure, after prolonged therapy, poisoning may occur, which develops into osteomalacia or encephalopathy. In such cases, it is necessary to immediately stop the treatment, perform peritoneal dialysis, hemofiltration and hemodialysis procedures, and also administer deferoxamine.
Interactions with other drugs
When combining the medication with antacids, it is necessary to observe an interval between their uses, which is at least half an hour.
When used simultaneously with Venter, the absorption of cimetidine, digoxin, tetracyclines with ranitidine, as well as ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin with norfloxacin and indirect anticoagulants, as well as theophylline, is weakened. Therefore, with such combinations, it is necessary to adhere to an interval between uses of at least 2 hours.
Combining the drug with phenytoin weakens the absorption of the latter and reduces its concentration at which the resumption of seizures is observed. For this reason, it is also recommended to observe 2-hour intervals between the use of the drug.
Storage conditions
Venter must be kept in a place protected from moisture and children. Temperature indicators are standard for medicines.
Shelf life
Venter can be used within 3 years from the date of release of the therapeutic agent.
Application for children
Children under 4 years of age are prohibited from using the drug.
Analogues
Analogues of the drug are the drugs Ankrusal, Sukrat and Alsukral with Ulgastran and Sucralfate. In addition, the drugs Maalox, Rennie and De-Nol with Almagel have a similar effect.
Reviews
Venter is often discussed on various medical forums, because many people have various problems with digestive activity. Sometimes they are mild - for example, failures in the nutritional process or overeating; and sometimes there are quite serious diseases, such as gastritis or peptic ulcer. Therefore, drugs intended for the treatment of digestive and gastrointestinal diseases are in great demand among patients.
It is reported that the drug affects different people differently and does not always help to eliminate problems with the gastrointestinal tract. At the same time, the same messages mention that these commentators began using the drug on the recommendation of other people, without a preliminary examination and prescription from a doctor. They usually contact a specialist only after severe pain appears, and during the examination they are diagnosed with a serious disease, for which they blame in their reviews the pills, which did not produce the desired result, although the problem was the lack of a correct diagnosis and selected therapy. Because of this, it is recommended not to self-medicate, bringing the situation to serious complications, but immediately contact a doctor who can select a suitable drug for the patient.
