Pharmachologic effect
Indications Venosmina
It is used in the combined treatment of hemorrhoids and venous lymphatic insufficiency.
Release form
The substance is released in tablets with a volume of 0.5 g. The box contains 30 or 60 tablets.
Pharmacodynamics
Venosmin helps to reduce venous distensibility and venostasis, strengthens capillary strength, improves microcirculation processes, and also stabilizes lymph drainage, increasing the strength of lymphatic outflow.
The medicine has a normalizing effect on lysosomal walls, slows down the release of cellular enzymes involved in protein breakdown processes, and in addition, strengthens capillary vessels and reduces their fragility. In addition, it also prevents the filtration of water with salts and low-molecular proteins into the intercellular environment, and eliminates vascular thrombosis and venous congestion in the legs. As a result, a weakening of the feeling of heaviness and fatigue in the legs, a decrease in tension, peripheral swelling and pain are noted.
Pharmacokinetics
The drug is well absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. Peak blood levels of the substance are observed after 6 hours on average.
The drug component accumulates mainly in the area of superficial veins on the legs. A smaller part of the drug accumulates inside the lung tissue, as well as the liver and kidneys. Selective accumulation inside the venous vessels is observed after 9-10 hours after taking the tablets and lasts for 96 hours.
Biotransformation within the liver occurs with subsequent formation of phenolic acids. Excretion occurs with urine and feces.
Dosing and administration
The medication must be taken orally.
In chronic stages of hemorrhoids or venous insufficiency: it is necessary to take 1 tablet of the drug twice a day, with food. After 6-7 days, it is allowed to switch to taking the total daily dose (2 tablets) at one time.
Using Venosmin in the acute stage of hemorrhoids: during the first 4 days, you need to take 6 tablets per day (in 2-3 doses), and then, for another 3 days - 4 tablets/day (the medicine is taken with food).
The duration of the cycle is selected taking into account the intensity of the pathology and the nature of its course. Often it is about 2 months (on average). During therapy, certain actions should also be taken - walk more and more often, wear special stockings on your feet, avoid sun exposure and watch your weight.
