Transparent olive-brown liquid of vegetable origin, having a specific smell with notes of valerian and mint. Refers to a group of sedatives. Operating ingredients: alcohol tinctures of valerian rhizomes, lily of the valley leaves, belladonna herbs, sodium bromide and levomenthol.
Indications Valocormid
- vegetovascular dystonia;

Release form
Solution for oral administration, put in bottles of dark glass with a volume of 30ml with a stopper-dropper, packed in cardboard boxes with instructions inside.
Pharmacodynamics
The drug has a soothing, stimulating cardiac muscle and spasmolytic action.
Cardiac glycoside, an alcohol extract of the lily of the valley, activates the contractions of the heart muscle, which favorably affects the circulation.
Sedation and spasmolytic effects are provided by sodium bromide and alcoholic extract of valerian roots. In addition to them, atropine and hyoscyamine, contained in the extract of belladonna, reduce the tone of smooth muscles and have a positive effect on the work of the heart. However, these substances can increase intraocular pressure and promote the dilatation of the pupils, increase the need for myocardium in oxygen.
Levomentol dilates the coronary vessels, improves the blood supply to the myocardium and reduces its load, tones the venous circulation and moderately cuts the pain syndrome.

Use Valocormid during pregnancy

Contraindications
- sensitization to the ingredients of the preparation;
- pregnancy and lactation;
- age group 0-17 years;
- atherosclerosis, endocardial and myocardial pathologies;
- impaired liver and / or kidney function;
- increased intraocular pressure;
- impairment of pulmonary respiration;
- chronic alcoholism;
- traumatic and chronic pathologies of the brain.
Side effects Valocormid
Digestive disorders, thirst, headache, heart rhythm disturbance, myasthenia gravis, ciliary muscle paresis, photophobia, hearing and vision impairment, inhibition, overexcitation, decreased bronchial tonus, reactions of intolerance to Valocormid components.
During the reception should refrain from performing work that requires a good reaction and concentration of attention.
Overdose
It is symptomatic of bromism: respiratory events (runny nose, cough), inflammation of the outer shell of the eye, fatigue, indifference, forgetfulness, bromide acne.
Therapy: cancellation of the drug, the introduction of 10-20 grams per day NaCl (provided that the patient does not have chronic diseases requiring a salt-free diet), 3-5 liters of fluid per day, the use of diuretics.
