Paint poisoning is a frequent and very unfavorable event, which can lead to a number of severe complications. Often, poisoning results in a fatal outcome. The most dangerous poisoning for children, pregnant women, people of senile and old age. Poisoning can occur during painting jobs, which happens most often. Most people are poisoned in everyday life. In second place in frequency are accidents at work, in which a person is systematically forced to breathe paint, getting himself a chronic poisoning. Poisoning is especially dangerous for people prone to an allergic reaction of immediate type, since anaphylactic shock may occur.

Stages

There are several stages of poisoning. At a mild stage there is either a slight intoxication, or a local reaction develops in the place of contact with the paint. External contact develops a chemical burn. At the same time, the skin is damaged depending on how deeply the paint is "ingested" into the skin. There may be superficial damage to the epithelium. There is redness, itching, severe burning. In this case, in the presence of adequate treatment, gradually this state will be normalized. As a result, the affected epithelium dies, and in its place a young, intact, is formed.

If ingested, there is a similar burn of the mucous membranes, which is much heavier. There may be severe damage to the mucosa, which is accompanied by the development of erosion. There may be a bleeding, blood circulation in the mucous membrane is disturbed.

If ingested, a mild stage is accompanied by intoxication. Thus the person can vomit, the dryness in a mouth develops, mucous membranes and a skin dry out, pupils can expand. A person feels chills, nausea. Quite often there is vomiting, dyspeptic disorders. In this case, it is recommended to drink activated carbon, or another sorbent. This is usually enough to remove the toxin from the body and neutralize the action of the poison. For a long time, pain in the stomach may be of concern, especially if the person has gastritis. This condition requires mandatory rehabilitation. Danger of poisoning and with an ulcer, because it may open bleeding.

The second stage is the average degree of poisoning. In this case, more severe symptoms develop. The toxin penetrates into the blood and exerts its poisonous effect there. At the same time, slight dizziness gradually develops into a sharp headache, coordination of movements may be impaired. Almost always at this stage there is dizziness, nausea, vomiting. Difficulty swallowing: there is pain, burning, which intensifies as the passage of the food lump or fluid through the esophagus. Nausea gradually intensifies, there is profuse vomiting. In this case, it is often possible to detect impurities of blood, which is a very unfavorable sign. This indicates a violation of the permeability of blood vessels, the penetration of toxin into the blood and the increase in its concentration. Also, bleeding can occur with damage to the mucous membranes, the opening of the ulcer, with the development of erosion on the mucous membranes. The source of bleeding in most cases is the esophagus, stomach, intestines.

It becomes difficult for a person to control his movements, and there is a clouding of consciousness. Gradually, a person loses sensitivity, impaired perception and reduced visual acuity.

When exposed to external damage, the skin is damaged. Most often, with an average severity, not only the superficial epithelial layer is affected, but also the deeper layers (subcutaneous tissue). This causes severe flushing, swelling. When inhaled, the vapor often causes inflammation and swelling of the mucous membrane of the throat, trachea, and nasal cavity, and lymph nodes become inflamed. This state already tends to be closer to the heavy one, since there is a risk of stopping breathing due to edema, especially in people with a respiratory system disorder and a tendency to allergic reactions. In this case, you need to give the patient emergency help. After the normalization of the condition and neutralization of the poison, it is possible to proceed with restorative treatment, which is mandatory at this stage. If you do not treat, and do not provide timely first aid, you may experience a severe poisoning stage.

The main symptom of a severe poisoning stage is the disruption of the normal functioning of the heart, circulatory system. The blood pressure may rise or fall sharply, the pulse may become faster or slower, until it stops completely. In this state, a person can lose consciousness or fall into a coma. At the same time, the skin becomes blue, the mucous membranes swell, cramps appear.

The brain suffers a sharp shortage of oxygen, which affects the whole body. There are severe functional disorders of many systems and organs. In this case, the most dangerous violation of the state of such internal organs, as the heart, lungs. If insufficiency develops, treatment is ineffective, death from intoxication or severe pulmonary edema can occur.

The heavy stage certainly affects the blood. There will be a sharp decrease in hemoglobin, erythrocytes in the blood (is a sign of severe intoxication process). In this case, often this condition indicates a violation of the functional state of the liver and kidneys. This indicates that the liver and kidneys do not cope with the load, and are unable to fully neutralize the action of the poison.

An increase in the rate of erythrocyte sedimentation may indicate the development of an inflammatory process, tissue damage, indicates a risk of bleeding. Reduction of ESR can indicate that intoxication is progressing. The rate of such progression depends on how quickly the ESR decreases. Also, this usually indicates that the action of the poison has not stopped, and it is likely that the toxin is still entering the blood.

A very informative indicator can be a shift of the leukocyte formula to the right. This indicates the weakening of the protective capabilities of the body and indicates the development of a serious inflammatory process. At the same time, intoxication is increasing. Especially dangerous if shifting the formula to the right is accompanied by an increase in the level of eosinophils, neutrophils and basophils. The morphology of erythrocytes also changes: the appearance of basophilic granularity indicates severe intoxication, a severe stage of the disease, irreversible processes in the blood.

There are also changes in the urine, because it reflects the internal state of the body and contains all the metabolites. When intoxication, a change in its color and odor occurs, and also physiological proteinuria is observed. Sometimes glomerular proteinuria develops. The appearance of hemoglobin in the blood indicates that the kidney function is impaired. This is a sign that the kidneys do not cope with the load at all, they practically lack the ability to perform their functions. When poisoning, glucose in the urine may appear.

Also a dangerous sign is the appearance in the urine of urobolic bodies, which indicate a severe liver damage. They are a sign of the development of hemolytic anemia.

With a microscopic examination of the urinary sediment, white blood cells are found in the urine. Depending on the amount, we can assume both the development of the inflammatory process, and the development of acute fever or severe damage to the kidneys and liver. If deformed white blood cells appear in the urine, which have a thinned, loosened shell and lubricated contours, this also suggests that the body is working in decompensation mode and its reserves are at the limit.

Forms

There are several types of paint poisoning, depending on which criterion underlies the classification. So, if you consider from the point of view of what color is the cause of poisoning, it is advisable to isolate poisoning with paint for hair, poisoning with watercolor paints, poisoning with paint, paintwork materials, alkyd, oil paints. Isolate poisoning with varnish and enamel.

Paint poisoning in pairs

It happens in the event that a person does not protect the respiratory tract. Accordingly, the main burden falls on them. The most dangerous is the poisoning for the lungs, bronchi, as there is swelling, blockage of the lumen. A person can suffocate, especially if the body has a large number of allergens and a tendency to allergic reactions.

Most often, this poisoning happens during repair work. Symptoms make themselves felt pretty quickly, already after a few minutes after getting the paint into the body. The main symptoms are irritation of the mucous membranes, at which edema develops. Nasal congestion, lacrimation, headache develops quite quickly. The condition resembles alcoholic intoxication.

Poisoning can manifest itself in different ways depending on what kind of paint has affected the body, and how much. Nevertheless, for all poisoning paints and varnishes have common features. The principles of first aid are also the same. A common feature of all poisoning with paints is a pronounced local reaction that manifests itself in the form of a chemical burn, skin irritation, a violation of its protective properties. Similarly, the mucous membrane suffers. Only with damage to the mucosa further develops edema.

All this is accompanied by a burning sensation, a deterioration in overall well-being, a sharp headache. Often blood pressure rises, heart rate increases, pressure and pain sensations in the sternum and heart area are noted. The person has a complexion, the mucous membrane becomes over-dried, acquires a cyanotic color. Gradually, a violent painful vomiting joins, often with impurities of blood, bleeding may open. Especially often bleeding occurs if a person has gastritis, or a violation of the function of the blood.

In a more severe stage, pain or toxic shock develops. If you do not provide first aid in a timely manner, the person loses consciousness, the pupils cease to react to light. Damaged areas quickly undergo an inflammatory reaction, an infection can join. If toxic substances continue to affect the body, cardiac and respiratory function is disrupted, a nervous or seizure attack, tremor or paralysis of smooth muscles can develop. Therefore, it is so important to timely neutralize the toxin and bring it out. In chronic form, a person has a fever, dry mouth, weakness, migraine, trembling in the body. Gradually, as the disease becomes stronger, and the pathology becomes chronic, a person is panic-stricken, delusions and hallucinations can develop, the temperature rises sharply to critical limits, the pupils become dilated. Major reflexes, swallowing and even respiratory, can be violated. In a person with chronic intoxication, the blood formula changes significantly, in particular, free hemoglobin appears in the blood, which is an extremely unfavorable sign. This may be a symptom of severe anemia. Also, a metabolic disturbance occurs, the entire biochemical cycle is disrupted, which leads to a disruption of the normal functioning of the body's basic systems, and also disbalances the hormonal and nervous regulation of the basic life processes in the body.

The first help is to neutralize the action of toxic substances as soon as possible and prevent further penetration into the blood. So, it is necessary to give a person a sorbent, which will remove toxins from the body. It is also important to provide a plentiful drink. Necessarily need to see a doctor and go through a comprehensive therapy.

Poisoning by the smell of paint

The smell of paint is often etched in a domestic environment, for example, during painting of a building, premises, during repairs. More often than not, people carelessly treat safety techniques, ignoring it, as a result of which poisoning develops. Intoxication can be of varying degrees: from mild to severe, which is accompanied by a functional impairment of the body. If you do not provide first aid in a timely manner, even death can develop.

Poisoning by a smell proceeds in two forms: acute and chronic. The first form is quite common in the hot season, as it is at this time that basic repair and construction work is carried out, and few care about compliance with safety rules. Since at the initial stages of poisoning is asymptomatic, pathology is exacerbated and often, first detected when the toxin is already in the blood and causes severe damage to internal organs. Chronic forms suffer those who face paint due to their duties: painters, laborers, builders, hairdressers. There is an accumulation of toxic substances.

If you are careful, you can detect early signs of intoxication and take timely measures to eliminate the symptoms of intoxication, restore the body. The first sign of poisoning is the appearance of a peculiar taste in the mouth, redness, swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes. When the odor is inhaled, the mucous membrane of the mouth, nose, entire nasopharynx, bronchi suffers. It is difficult to be confused with other pathologies for inflammation and swelling of the mucous membrane of the throat, trachea, and nasal cavity, which have already been observed for an hour after the ink has penetrated the body. Lymph nodes also become inflamed.

As soon as a malaise, you need to provide first aid. Provide a plentiful drink. It is also possible to give sorbents, which will help to remove toxins from the body. Be sure to see the doctor, as further recovery and supportive treatment will be required. Rehabilitation is required even if a person feels that he feels quite well. This is due to the fact that poisoning can be asymptomatic. Nevertheless, serious pathological processes can occur in the body.

Poisoning with hair dye

Many people are interested in whether hair poisoning can cause poisoning. Especially this issue is asked by women who like to experiment with their hair. It turns out, maybe. Moreover, such cases are very often observed in practice.

Hair dye contains ammonia, which is what causes poisoning. If there were any signs of intoxication after visiting the hairdressing salon, you should immediately provide first aid. It is important to ensure access to fresh air, then provide a plentiful drink. In this case, you should drink only fresh, clean water, it is better to refuse tea. You can drink a sorbent, for example activated charcoal and antihistamine. Especially if there are signs of an allergic reaction. The most dangerous is edema. If the condition worsens, you need to call an ambulance.

Oddly enough, but quite often there is poisoning with hair dye through the digestive tract. That is, the paint somehow gets through the mouth into the stomach and intestines, where it is further absorbed into the blood. For many doctors, it remains a mystery how and why hair dye enters the stomach. Nevertheless, this is one of the most dangerous types of poisoning, which often ends in a fatal outcome. Most often, poisoning occurs as a result of the development of cerebral edema.

In this case, first aid should be provided immediately. To do this, induce vomiting.

The patient is hospitalized and further intensive treatment is carried out. First, the stomach is washed, which is carried out to clean water. This allows you to remove the paint and prevent its absorption. Usually, this condition is accompanied by a strong pain syndrome, which is worse after washing.

In parallel, infusion therapy is performed. For this, a permanent intravenous infusion of maintenance substances is provided. They normalize metabolic processes. Enter substances to neutralize the toxin. There is additional symptomatic therapy according to the indications.

The forecast can be different. If the poisoning of the paint takes place in an easy form, and the person is provided with the necessary help, the forecast can be favorable. In severe form, even death can develop.

Poisoning with acrylic paint

A rather dangerous type of poisoning is intoxication with acrylic paints. This is due to the fact that acrylic paint contains ethers, which are a volatile liquid that has neither color nor smell. Nevertheless, the composition includes toxic substances that are quickly absorbed into the blood and have a toxic effect on the body. Especially this action is intensified if the paint is heated, which happens already at an elevated temperature of air in the heat. Under the influence of oxygen and light, the process of polymerization of esters develops, which leads to an increase in the toxigenic effect and an increase in the volatility of esters, and other components that make up the paint.

Acrylic paints and ethers are widely used in industry. They are used to make transparent elastic films. The advantage of such films is that they have a high mechanical strength. Also, the paint and varnish industry is replete with resins, and other components derived from acrylic paints.

Also dangerous is methacrylic paint, which acts as the closest analogue of acrylic. Its difference lies in the fact that it has a sharp odor, which in some ways has a number of certain similarities with acetic acid. Also has a high polymerization ability.

Clinical manifestations of poisoning are clearly divided into stages. At the first stage of intoxication, a neurotic syndrome (mild nerve disorders) appears in a person, and a vegetative function is gradually disrupted. In particular, there is dizziness, headache, nausea, profuse vomiting. All this indicates the penetration of toxin into the blood and the development of intoxication syndrome. A person can be afraid of pain in the heart. In this case, there is a clear connection between neurotic and vegetative disorders. So, increased anxiety, panic, which covers a person, can lead to pain in the heart, muscle spasm. This, in turn, only strengthens neurotic manifestations.

Gradually there is dryness in the mouth, tinnitus, a feeling of thirst develops, which indicates the progression of intoxication, dehydration of the body, which occurs under the influence of toxin. The composition of the blood changes significantly. The analysis can immediately identify a number of signs that will indicate the development of intoxication processes in the body. First of all, a pronounced neutrophilia and leukocytosis prevail in the blood test.

Also at this stage, a person has an increased sensitivity to light, develops tear, photophobia. There is a feeling of general weakness, which is constantly growing. Significantly reduces memory, there is a headache, mood is reduced. These symptoms can be unstable, and if the action of the poison is stopped, they will gradually be smoothed out.

If the toxin continues to affect the body, a gradual deterioration of the condition takes place, the second stage of the intoxication process begins. Polyneuritis with numerous disorders of the nervous system develops, sensitivity, excitability is disturbed. Trophic processes are violated, normal blood circulation is significantly impaired. This leads to the development of dystrophic processes, insufficiency. When carrying out an X-ray study, there are violations of the structure of the bones, there are changes in the nails.

Disorders of eyesight, olfaction occur, and hearing is significantly impaired. Often this process is accompanied by the development of conjunctivitis, paralysis and atrophy of the mucous membranes localized in the upper respiratory tract. Can develop gastritis. If a person has a gastritis in a chronic form, almost always there is an exacerbation. There may also be an exacerbation of the ulcer, bleeding may develop. The risk of toxic hepatitis increases.

If at this stage do not provide first aid, there may be a transition to the third stage of the disease. At the same time, weakness increases, signs of neurotic disorders increase. Often there is toxic encephalopathy. There may be hypertension, tachycardia. There is damage to the myocardium, most often by dystrophic processes. In the chronic form, reproductive damage may occur, the menstrual cycle is disrupted in women.

The first aid should be given as soon as possible, as soon as the first signs of intoxication appear. First you need to prevent further toxin entering the blood. This is usually caused by vomiting. Then you need to provide the patient with peace before the arrival of an ambulance. In the conditions of a medical institution, immediately wash is carried out. Before starting rinsing, premedication is performed.

An obligatory stage is to provide forced diuresis and alkalization of blood, which will neutralize the effect of toxins on the body. In the presence of severe pain, analgesics and narcotic drugs are used for anesthesia. The bleeding that can occur is often stopped by applying ice to the stomach area, or to another source of bleeding. In critical situations, if necessary, blood transfusion is performed. After the condition stabilized, they begin to carry out further treatment according to the indications.

For some time, it is better for a person to stay in a hospital under the supervision of doctors. Hunger is shown for several days. You can only drink water in large quantities. Then, mandatory restorative treatment is required, which the doctor selects individually. Diet No. 1a is mandatory, which should be observed within 2-3 months.

Poisoning with oil paint

If oil paint is at the base of the poisoning, first aid should be given immediately, as the symptoms of a person's poisoning progress very quickly, from a mild stage to a severe degree of intoxication. In this case, the manifestations are typical, as for other types of poisoning. There is dizziness, vomiting, headache, which gradually progresses to severe intoxication, which leads to a violation of cardiac activity, a violation of the structure and function of the liver and kidneys.

It is important to provide first aid in a timely manner. A further forecast depends on this. Important pre-medical care, the essence of which is to withdraw the remedy, which got into the body outside and prevent its further absorption. Usually, vomiting is caused for this purpose. Also, the patient can be given a sorbent, in particular, activated charcoal. It is important to provide copious drinking, fresh air, peace and the arrival of an ambulance.

After that, emergency aid is provided by an ambulance. The patient is taken to a medical institution, hospitalized. The necessary resuscitation measures are carried out aimed at removing toxin from the body and neutralizing it. Thus it is necessary to remember about necessity to watch vital signs of the patient.

Poisoning with enamel paint

Usually enamel poisoning entails severe consequences. Thus it is necessary to distinguish the symptoms of acute intoxication from the manifestations of chronic intoxication. In acute intoxication, the classic symptoms of intoxication manifest themselves, which are difficult to overlook. This is the usual dizziness, migraine, nausea, vomiting. In severe cases, the normal functioning of the heart muscle is disrupted, the respiratory process is disrupted.

With chronic intoxication, if a person has contact with the paint for a long time, the toxin accumulates gradually in the blood. It has a damaging effect on the body, thereby violating the normal functioning of all internal organs. The composition and function of blood changes. The danger of chronic poisoning is that a person can not notice it immediately, because pathological processes occur slowly, there are no pronounced symptoms.

Chronic intoxication can develop for several months or more, until the pronounced symptoms of intoxication of the body, signs of violation of the basic functions are noticeable.

In acute form, the condition worsens dramatically. The first signs make themselves felt after a few hours after the toxins hit the body. Chronic form requires prolonged restorative treatment. In acute form, the patient needs immediate first aid.

It is necessary immediately to call an ambulance. Regarding how to behave before the arrival of an ambulance, clear instructions have not yet been worked out. The opinions of experts on this issue are very different. Previously, traditionally believed that when the first signs of intoxication, you need to induce vomiting. Today, many doctors claim that it is better not to induce vomiting (with enamel poisoning), because with the reverse course of the substances that make up it, along with gastric juice, a severe burn of the esophagus occurs.

Liquid, especially water, is not recommended, as enamel activity increases, and toxic properties also increase. In the intestine, absorption is more intense than in the stomach, so the proportion of the substance that gets into the blood will increase, which is fraught with even more serious consequences.

It is better to simply provide the patient with peace, fresh air and wait for the arrival of an ambulance, which will provide qualified assistance, and will hospitalize a person.

Poisoning with paint

This is a dangerous condition, which by manifestation is similar to enamel poisoning. In this case, a person has abundant salivation, redness of the eyes, puffiness. The skin becomes pale, the smell of acetone appears from the mouth, there is a sharp headache. Most often a person loses consciousness, as a result of which a serious condition develops, which can result in a fatal outcome.

Severe degree of intoxication can result in a violation of the structure and functions of the main organs and functional systems. In the majority of victims, in the absence of emergency care, there is a violation of the functional state of the liver, kidneys, and heart. This can result even in the development of severe insufficiency and death. Quite sharply this condition is reflected and on the nervous system. Bleeding may develop, especially if there are concomitant pathologies, such as ulcers, erosion. Stop bleeding is difficult, because under the influence of toxins, blood coagulability decreases significantly. It is recommended to introduce hemostatic.

Because the condition is often accompanied by an intense pain syndrome, anesthetic measures are carried out. It is better to use the injection method: it is more effective, it acts quickly.

Alkyd paint poisoning

The main cause of poisoning is the ingress of paint or some of its components inside, through the gastrointestinal tract, or inhalation of vapors through the respiratory tract. Acute poisoning occurs when a large amount of paint enters the body once.

There are also cases of chronic poisoning. This happens when working in factories, factories, at work, especially if the work is conducted in closed rooms, with idle exhaust.

Often there are cases of poisoning during construction and repair work. Nevertheless, there are also non-standard causes of poisoning: some people use this paint to commit suicide.

At the heart of the pathogenesis of poisoning lies the ability of the active substance to penetrate the body through the mucous membranes. Paint and its components have the ability to be quickly absorbed through the respiratory tract, skin, mucous membranes of the digestive tract, while causing significant damage.

Toxic substances penetrating the blood, affect primarily the nervous system and blood vessels. In the blood, the level of oxygen drops sharply, the amount of carbon dioxide increases. As a result, hypoxia, hypercapnia develops. This is fraught with oxygen starvation, which is especially dangerous for the brain. There is a rapid deterioration of the condition. Oxygen starvation rapidly progresses, as a result of which acidosis occurs, the acidity of the blood changes, which leads to collapse and development of a serious condition, which is accompanied by a violation of the normal functioning of the body's basic systems, including: heart, liver, kidneys.

There is also damage to the mucous membranes. This is one of the consequences of oxygen starvation. There is a violation of normal cell metabolism, as a result of which irritation of the mucous membranes is noted.

Symptoms typical for poisoning: a sharp headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting. If the paint gets into the stomach through the digestive organs, there is pain, burning in the throat and esophagus, which increase with the accumulation of toxin. Nausea gradually intensifies, there is a profuse vomiting, sometimes with impurities of blood. In severe poisoning, internal bleeding may develop. The source of bleeding is the esophagus, stomach, intestines, which is especially important in the presence of ulcers, small erosions.

With severe form of poisoning, the paint can cause severe flushing, swelling, so inflammation and flow of the mucous membrane of the throat, trachea, and nasal cavity often occur. Lymphadenitis develops quite rapidly - inflammation of the lymph nodes. The danger is that there is a risk of stopping breathing due to swelling. Especially high risk in people prone to allergic reactions.

At the third, most severe stage of poisoning, there is a violation of the normal functioning of the heart, circulatory system. Develops severe heart failure, obesity, puffiness, blood pressure may rise sharply or decrease. The heart rate changes dramatically. Maybe a coma.

Poisoning with watercolors

Watercolors paint children most often. And this is due primarily to the negligence of parents who leave their children behind the drawing without supervision. Children almost all taste, and in most cases, poisoning occurs as a result of the ingress of paint into the body through the digestive organs.

This can lead to a serious condition, so you can not delay - you need to call an ambulance as soon as possible. At the same time, before her arrival, you need to induce vomiting, which will remove the paint from the body and prevent further absorption. Poisoning in children is especially dangerous because they have a very fast metabolism, which results in a rapidly deteriorating state. Almost always treatment is long, and the state is critical. Must be hospitalization.

Signs of wall paint poisoning

Paint for walls can be dangerous, because it has a strong toxigenic effect on the body. Her couples quickly penetrate into the blood, are carried throughout the body, thereby causing complex internal injuries, tissue damage.

Any, even the most insignificant poisoning with paint for walls, can have serious consequences for the body. The main danger of this type of paint is that it can not immediately cause an immediate reaction, however, will cause a prolonged intoxication of the body, which damages it more and more. The most dangerous are the complications associated with a violation of the composition and function of the blood, which primarily affects the red blood cells, the content of hemoglobin in them.

The transport of oxygen in tissues is sharply disturbed and the removal of carbon dioxide is delayed. This becomes the cause of hypoxia, in which tissues do not receive the necessary amount of oxygen. This leads to the fact that metabolic processes are significantly slowed down, blood circulation is disturbed. Carbon dioxide and metabolic products are not discharged outside, which leads to their accumulation in tissues, intensifies intoxication, becomes the cause of such a state as hypercapnia. At the same time, the partial pressure of carbon dioxide in tissues sharply increases and the amount of oxygen decreases. Also, not only its quantity decreases, but also the degree of digestibility by the organism.

It is hypoxia in combination with hypercapnia that become the main cause of further metabolic disorders. At the heart of them lies a violation of blood circulation. The process is accompanied by the fact that the gas exchange products, in particular carbon dioxide, are not removed from the cells, it is retained in them. Excessive accumulation of carbon dioxide in tissues entails a sharp suppression of metabolic processes. The metabolic products are not discharged outside, which leads to their further accumulation. All this only increases the toxic effect. Further increase in hypoxia and hypercapnia may lead to an increase in symptoms of intoxication. Dangerous is the condition in which anemia develops.

To prevent such serious violations, it is important to provide first aid in a timely manner. As soon as the first signs of intoxication appear, the patient needs to be provided with access to fresh air. This contributes to the fact that the paint stops penetrating deep into the body, the toxin is prevented from entering. You can ventilate the room, but it is better to get out completely (or take the victim if he can not move and is in serious condition). Then necessarily give the activated coal which will connect a toxin, and will promote its deducing from an organism. It is better to drink a suspension of activated carbon, previously, dissolving it in water. This causes a greater effect, the drug starts to act faster.

You can take other means. It is not so important what - the main thing is that they act as sorbents and prevent further absorption of toxins into the blood, contribute to the elimination of those already available. In the future you need a generous drink. If there was a poisoning with the paint, the patient needs to be taken to the hospital as soon as possible. Even if he feels good. This will avoid serious complications.
