Indications Septocida r plus.

It is used to disinfect the skin on the hands (antiseptics of a surgical and hygienic nature). It is also used to prepare the skin of patients before injections or performing a surgical procedure.

Release form

The drug is released in the form of a disinfectant liquid for external use - in polyethylene bottles with a capacity of 0.1, 0.5 or 1 liter.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug has a powerful bactericidal (also tuberculocidal), as well as virucidal (also against HIV and HBV) and fungicidal effect.

The destruction of the bacterial cell occurs with the help of enzymatic and destructive mechanisms.

The residual effect on transient (also opportunistic and pathogenic) microflora develops after 3 hours from the moment of treatment of dry epidermis.

Dosing and administration

Use for surgical antisepsis of the epidermis on the hands.

It is necessary to thoroughly wash the areas under the nails, as well as the nail beds and areas between the fingers. Before treating with the solution, you need to wash your hands with soap, hot tap water (38-42°C) - for 2 minutes.

Disinfected soft brushes should be used during hand washing only for treating nail plates and toenails. Washed hands should be dried using a sterile disposable napkin. The nail and periungual areas are treated using sterile disposable cotton swabs previously soaked in Septocide R plus. The epidermis on the forearms and hands should be treated by rubbing 2.5-3 ml of the drug into it for 5 minutes, without allowing the liquid to dry until the entire treatment is completed. In total, 10 ml of the drug is required for the entire procedure.

If a long operation is performed (>3 hours), it is necessary to repeat the disinfection treatment.

Treatment of the epidermis on the hands with hygienic antiseptics.

In this case, there is no need to wash your hands with soap beforehand.

Apply 3 ml of the substance to dry skin of the hands, then rub it in thoroughly for 30-60 seconds. If the extremities are heavily contaminated with pathological material, they should be washed for 30-60 seconds (or wiped with a swab or napkin previously soaked in the preparation - 3 ml for 60 seconds), and then rinse the substance with water and soap (if necessary).

Disinfection treatment of the surgical surface.

The epidermis on the surgical area is wiped with a disposable swab or napkin, previously soaked in the drug solution. The procedure is carried out for 2.5 minutes. Then take another swab or napkin and rub the drug in for another 5 minutes. The substance evaporates 60-120 seconds after the end of the treatment.

After the operation, as well as after the suturing procedure, it is necessary to lubricate the edges of the wound with Septocide p plus for half a minute.

Treatment of the epidermis before minor surgical procedures (injections, punctures, etc.) that require breaking its integrity.

The medicine should be rubbed in for half a minute using a tampon or napkin. If a puncture of joints, organs or the spinal canal is performed, the treatment period should be extended to 60 seconds.

The solution should be applied to the epidermis in the area of catheterization of blood vessels according to the scheme used for treating the surgical area.

Use Septocida r plus. during pregnancy

Septocide R Plus can be used during pregnancy or lactation.

Contraindications

Contraindicated for use in individuals with hypersensitivity to medicinal components.

The use of the solution may cause redness, itching, dryness or dermatitis in the area of application if the rules of use are not followed (treatment of wet hands).

Storage conditions

Septocide R Plus must be kept in a place closed to children, while keeping the solution at least 1 m away from heating devices. Temperature level – no more than 25°C.

Shelf life

Septocide R Plus can be used within 36 months from the date of manufacture of the medicinal product.

Application for children

There are no contraindications to the use of the drug in pediatrics.
