Release form
Sanguilar contains two main active ingredients that determine its pharmacodynamics: heleritrini hydrosulfas and sanguinarine hydrosulfas.
Alcohol solution used for local external application contains 2 g of complex active substance in one liter of Sanguiritrin, recalculated to pure substance. In addition to chelerythrine hydrosulfate and sanguinarine hydrosulfate, the solution contains 95% ethyl alcohol, as well as pure distilled water.
Pharmacodynamics
Each of the two basic components of the drug in question, which pharmacologically complement and enhance each other's action, have their own therapeutic characteristics, the combination of which results in the pharmacodynamics of Sanguilar. This drug is obtained from the extract of such medicinal plants as Maclea microcarpa and Maclea cordata. They are the ones that "dictate" the direction of the effective medical effect of the drug.
Sanguilar is quite actively capable of resisting the reproduction and further development of numerous fungal strains, bacterial microorganisms, which are equipped with increased resistance indicators, that is, the ability to resist external influences.
Bacteria that are effectively suppressed by the drug include: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Enterobacter, Acinetobacter, Proteus, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Pyocioneus, protozoa of the genus Entamoeba, Shigella, Trichomonas, Serratia, Escherichia, as well as strains of fungal structures such as Trichophyton, Microsporum, Candida, yeast-like and mycelial fungi, and some other microorganisms.
The main antibacterial, antiparasitic and antimicrobial mechanism of action of the drug is reduced to the violation of the permeability of the cellular septum and/or wall of the invading "parasite". There is an inhibition of bacterial nuclease, a violation in the structural structure of nucleotides.
Pharmacokinetics
Based on the fact that the drug is represented by many different chemical compounds that have their own pharmacokinetic characteristics, the pharmacokinetics of Sanguilar have not been determined.
Dosing and administration
Depending on the diagnosed disease and its location, the method of administration and doses of Sanguilar administered vary slightly.
For a newborn baby, a procedure is performed using a 0.2% solution of the drug in question during the first five to six days. Sterile tampons soaked in such a liquid are used to wipe the baby's folds twice a day to prevent diaper rash and infectious contamination.
In the therapeutic treatment of periodontitis, turundas soaked in a 0.2% solution of the drug are placed in the affected gum pockets and kept in the form of applications for 20 minutes. This treatment is carried out every day or every other day, depending on the severity of the pathology and the patient's tolerance of Sanguilar. The schedule for taking the procedure is prescribed by the attending physician. Therapeutic effectiveness is observed mainly after four to six procedures.
When an adult patient develops stomatitis of various genesis, a poultice of 0.2% Sanguilar solution is applied to the affected area of the mucosa. To achieve a rapid therapeutic effect, this procedure should be performed two to three times a day for two to five days, daily.
For younger patients who are already five years old, a more diluted solution is prepared. For children's rinsing, a 0.005% concentration of Sanguilar is used. For children under 5 years old, the medicine is used in the form of lubrication of the affected area with a 0.005% diluted solution. To prepare the medicine of this concentration, which is prepared immediately before use (ex tempore), take a glass of warm boiled water and introduce a teaspoon of 0.2% aqueous-alcoholic solution of Sanguiritrin.
If the otolaryngologist has diagnosed tonsillitis, the "sick" tonsils are lubricated once a day for two to five days with a 0.2% solution of Sanguilar. In parallel with such procedures, gargling with a preparation diluted to 0.005% concentration is introduced into the treatment protocol. Such procedures are permitted for both adult patients and children over five years of age. The duration of therapy is from three to seven days.
In case of external otitis, a cotton swab soaked in a 0.2% solution is inserted into the ear canal two or three times a day, kept there for about a quarter of an hour, and then removed. The duration of therapy for this disease is longer and is at least half a month. If an ENT doctor has diagnosed otitis media, which has become a chronic disease, and is also aggravated by a purulent process, five to eight drops of 0.2% alcohol solution are instilled into the patient's ear canal two or three times a day.
If for some reason the skin has been damaged, in order to prevent the development of inflammation and further complications in the form of a purulent process, the affected area is sanitized with 0.2% alcohol liquid. To carry out the procedure, cotton-gauze material is moistened in the medicine and applied to the affected area. Then, sterile medical gauze soaked in the same drug is applied to the applicator in several layers, the compress is fixed on top with a compression bandage. After three to four days, the procedure is repeated. The duration of the treatment course directly depends on the degree of infection. If no complications are observed against the background of therapeutic treatment, then on average, it takes from seven to ten days to stop the pathology.
If the skin lesion does not heal for a long time, as well as in case of infection of the burn focus or infectious lesion of ulcers, erosions and open fractures, a water-alcohol solution of Sanguilar diluted to 0.005% concentration is used for their treatment. The affected area is sanitized with the medicine and protected from above with a fixing bandage. If the infection has entered the burn area, the bandage is changed once a day, in case of infection of a different nature, the dressing is carried out once or twice during the day. The duration of arresting therapy depends on the degree of damage and the nature of the disease.
The instructions for the medicinal solution Sanguilar indicate that in case of dermatological diseases, the affected area is sanitized daily, once or twice, with a 0.2% concentration of the active ingredient complex. The duration of therapeutic treatment depends on the nature of the disease.
If a woman has a gynecological pathology: erosive lesion of the cervix, colpitis, vaginitis, endocervicitis, the gynecologist prescribes douching, applications or irrigation of the pathologically affected area. These procedures are carried out using 0.005% aqueous-alcoholic liquid. To achieve a therapeutic effect, this procedure is carried out once or twice a day, daily. The treatment is designed for five to ten medical procedures.

Use Sangvilara during pregnancy
The use of Sanguilar during pregnancy and lactation is permissible, but the decision to introduce the drug into the therapy protocol should be made only by the attending physician or obstetrician-gynecologist who monitors the pregnancy. The decision to prescribe Sanguilar is made if the real need for drug intervention in relieving the woman's health problem significantly exceeds the potential negative impact that the chemical compounds included in the drug can have on the normal development of the fetus or an already born child.
Contraindications
Alcohol solution should not be prescribed for skin eczema and fungal infections of the epidermis.
Side effects Sangvilara
The body's reaction to the use of an alcohol solution can be expressed as:
- Manifestations of an allergic reaction.
- When rinsing the mouth, a bitter taste may be observed in the mouth.
- When treating wounds on the skin surface, the patient may feel a burning sensation for a short time.
Such pathological manifestations disappear when the dosage of the administered drug is adjusted.
The body's reaction to the use of liniment for therapy may be expressed in a short-term burning sensation of the skin surfaces at the treatment site.
Overdose
It is quite difficult to exceed the dosage of the drug taken if the form of therapeutic treatment is an ointment for external use or an alcohol solution of Sanguilar.
Interactions with other drugs
The interactions of Sanguilar with other drugs have not yet been thoroughly studied, there are no major developments in this area, but some recommendations on this issue can still be given.
The specialists who developed this drug allow for the tandem operation of the drug in question and anesthetic drugs used for local “switching off” sensitivity.

Storage conditions
Depending on how correctly all the storage conditions of Sanguilar are met, its level of pharmacological effectiveness depends, which is necessary throughout the entire period of the drug's operation permitted by the manufacturer. These recommendations are described in detail in the instructions attached to the drug. They are not complicated, but their strict implementation is simply necessary.
- Sanguilar of any form of release must be kept for the entire period of permissible use in a cool place where the room temperature does not exceed + 25 degrees.
- Sanguilar should be kept out of the reach of small children.
- The medicine should not be exposed to direct sunlight, as this reduces its shelf life and reduces its pharmacodynamic activity.

Shelf life
When releasing any medicine to pharmacy shelves, the manufacturer must indicate on its packaging: the date of manufacture of the drug and the final date after which it is undesirable to use the drug in question for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes. Then Sanguilar begins to lose its pharmacological characteristics, and, therefore, one should not expect high efficiency in stopping the disease from such a drug.
Such negligence can lead to a deterioration in the patient's condition and loss of precious time. The shelf life of the drug Sanguilar is three years.
