Enelbin 100 retard is a drug with peripheral vasodilating activity.

The component naftidrofuryl demonstrates a spasmolytic muscle-tropic effect on smooth arterial muscles, and at the same time weakens the tone of arterioles and the stability of peripheral vessels. The drug helps improve blood flow inside peripheral tissues, especially inside the central nervous system, and also weakens ischemic pain.

The medicine has a positive effect on brain activity – it normalizes sleep, reduces the frequency of headaches with dizziness and improves cognitive abilities.

Indications Enelbin 100 retarda

It is used for disorders of peripheral blood flow, including trophic ulcers, intermittent claudication, Raynaud's disease, angiopathy of diabetic origin, paresthesia, acrocyanosis, cramps affecting the calf muscles, and pain that occurs in the limbs when at rest.

It is prescribed for disorders of blood flow within the brain (including insufficiency and atherosclerosis of a cerebral nature).

It can be used for behavioral disorders in the elderly, stroke or during recovery from it, post-comatose states or injuries, circulatory disorders in the inner ear, Meniere's morbus and damage to the eye function and retina of ischemic origin.

Release form

The component is released in tablets - 10 pieces in a cell plate; in a pack - 5 such plates.

Pharmacodynamics

Naftidrofuryl is a specific blocker of the activity of S2-endings located inside platelets and smooth vascular muscles (antiplatelet effect and antiserotonergic vasodilation). Together with this, the component acts as an antagonist of bradykinin with nicotine.

Naftidrofuryl is a stimulator of energy exchange processes inside neurons and reduces the formation of algogenic elements (lactic acid). The substance activates the action of succinyl dehydrogenase inside tissues, helps to increase the volume of oxygen supplied to tissues, and also helps to remove glucose and increases the formation of ATP.

Pharmacokinetics

Naftidrofuryl has good absorption in the digestive system. Prolonged release of the active element allows maintaining effective plasma indicators for at least 3-5 hours from the moment of drug administration. The component is 80% synthesized with intraplasmic protein.

Excretion in the form of metabolic elements is realized mainly with bile, and also with urine (to a lesser extent). The plasma half-life is approximately 40-60 minutes. The substance passes into mother's milk without complications and overcomes the BBB.

Dosing and administration

The selection of the portion is carried out individually, taking into account the nature of the disease and its intensity.

In case of peripheral blood flow disorders, 0.1-0.2 g of the drug is usually used 2-3 times a day. The drug achieves its maximum effect when administered in a total daily dose of 0.4-0.6 g. The therapy lasts at least 3 months.

When treating conditions caused by disorders of intracerebral blood flow, it is necessary to take 0.1 g of the drug 3 times a day.

In case of ischemic stroke, 0.2 g of the substance is used 3 times a day, or 0.3-0.4 g 2 times a day.

The treatment should be long-term. The tablets are swallowed whole, without chewing, and washed down with plain water.
