Phytolyte is used in urology - a medicine that helps dissolve urinary stones. It is a complex preparation containing plant extracts.

The drug demonstrates a positive effect on the state of spermatogenesis in experimental prostatitis (the duration of preservation of sperm motility, their concentration and% of motile species increase; in addition, the number of pathologically altered spermatozoa decreases, and also osmotic and acid resistance changes in a positive direction). [1]

Indications Phytolite

It is used in such cases:

  • prevention and therapy of urolithiasis (the presence of primary or recurrent calculi of different sizes and locations inside the kidneys and urethra);
  • complications associated with the movement of stone fragments after shock wave lithotripsy procedures;
  • colic in the kidney area;
  • prevention of the formation of urinary stones after their self-excretion or removal through surgery;
  • during the combined maintenance treatment of chronic forms of pyelonephritis;
  • inflammation in the area of the urinary ducts ( urethritis or cystitis);
  • chronic prostatitis.

Release form

The release of the therapeutic substance is realized in the form of capsules - 10 pieces each inside the cell plate. There are 3 or 6 such records inside the box.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug has an anti-inflammatory, diuretic, analgesic and antispasmodic effect, demonstrates antiseptic and antimicrobial activity, and also regulates the metabolism of minerals.

Reduces the severity and frequency of colic within the kidneys, stabilizes the physicochemical parameters of urine, weakens leukocyturia and helps to restore optimal urodynamics and urinary homeostasis.

Helps to flush out small stones and sand, prevents the formation of new calculi or their increase in size.

Dosing and administration

You need to take the medication before eating.

Urolithiasis.

Apply in the amount of 2-3 capsules 3 times a day. The duration of the treatment cycle is 20-30 days. A repeated course can be carried out after a break.

Prevention of recurrence of stone formation within the urethra and kidneys after shock wave lithotripsy.

Take 2-3 capsules 3 times a day for a period of 5-15 days. After self-excretion of calculi or their removal during surgery, take 2-3 capsules 3 times a day for a period of 1-2 months.

Colic in the region of the kidneys.

Apply 2-3 capsules of drugs after pain relief with the help of analgesic substances.

Chronic pyelonephritis.

The medication is used in combination with basic treatment or after its completion in the form of monotherapy - 2 capsules 3 times a day for a period of 3 weeks.

The therapeutic cycles can be repeated for 2-3 months (at 1-2-week intervals), with the transition to the use of 1-2 capsules per day.

Chronic urethritis, cystitis or prostatitis.

Take 2-3 capsules 3 times a day for a period of 21-28 days. You can repeat the cycle after 14 days (in the amount of 2 capsules, 3 times a day).

The number of treatment courses and their duration are selected by the doctor personally - taking into account the patient's condition.

  • Application for children

The medication is prohibited for use on persons under the age of 12.

Use Phytolite during pregnancy

The medicine should not be prescribed to pregnant women. If you need to take Phytolit while breastfeeding, you should abandon GV for the period of therapy.

Contraindications

The main contraindications:

  • thrombophlebitis;
  • severe personal intolerance to the elements of the medication;
  • changes in rheological blood parameters;
  • active forms of inflammation in the bladder and kidneys;
  • the presence of calculi inside the urethra, whose size exceeds 6 mm;
  • nephrosis, glomerulonephritis, as well as nephritis and nephrosonephritis.

Side effects Phytolite

The drug is usually tolerated without the development of complications and side symptoms. There may be mild signs of dyspepsia in the form of vomiting, epigastric discomfort, diarrhea and nausea, as well as photosensitivity and irritation of the renal tissues (pain in the lumbar region and at the end of the urinary process).

People with severe intolerance may experience allergy symptoms (including rashes, swelling, redness and itching).

Overdose

The development of the toxic effect of Phytolit is not observed. In the case of a single use of more than 30 capsules, the severity of side signs can be potentiated. With poisoning and prolonged use, a bitter taste and discomfort in the liver may appear.

In case of overdose, it is required to perform gastric lavage and take activated charcoal. Symptomatic measures are taken.

Interactions with other drugs

It is forbidden to prescribe medication to persons who use antibiotics, contraceptives, SG, anticoagulants, female gonadosteroids, sulfonamides, cholesterol-lowering substances (statins) and antihypertensive drugs that block the action of Ca channels.

Storage conditions

Phytolite must be kept out of the reach of children. Temperature indicators - no more than 25 ° С.

Shelf life

Phytolyte is allowed to be used within a 36-month term from the moment the drug substance is sold.
