Physiotherapy for migraines

The main task of physiotherapy with migraines is to stop an attack of headache due to the normalization of vascular tone. The possibilities of hardware physiotherapy at the time of the attack of pain are limited. One of the optimal therapeutic methods in this case is the method of information-wave action with the help of the Azor-IC apparatus.
Migraine is a hereditary or acquired cerebrovascular disease characterized by recurring headaches predominantly in one half of the head. At the heart of this pathology is a violation of vascular innervation, so the vessels inadequately respond even to ordinary stimuli. In this case, either a vasospastic or a vasoparalic reaction arises. There are simple, ophthalmic, ophthalmoplegic, associated, vestibular and abdominal migraine forms.
The effect is on naked skin. Technique of exposure is contact, stable.
Fields of influence: I - IV - paravertebrally two fields on the right and left at the level of CII, - ThIII, V - VI - right and left in the temporal region.
The frequency of the radiation modulation is 10 Hz.
The time of action on the I-IV field is 10 min, for V-VI - 5 min.
In the off-suit period in out-patient-polyclinic conditions, patients undergo appropriate courses of physiotherapeutic procedures.
With a vasospastic form of migraine,
- diadynamic therapy on the area of the projection of the cervical sympathetic nodes;
- amplipulse therapy on the projection area of the upper cervical sympathetic nodes;
- electrophoresis of the collar zone of novocaine, euphyllin, seduxen;
- darsonvalization of the head and collar zone;
- magnetotherapy of the neck-collar zone;
- laser (magnetolaser) therapy of the cervical-collar zone.
In the vaso-paralytic form of migraine,
- electrophoresis of calcium chloride in the collar zone;
- general ultraviolet irradiation according to the basic scheme;
- carbonic baths;
- circular shower;
- contrast baths.
At home, the attending physician during the inter-attack period of migraine can perform electrophoresis of the appropriate medications, magnetotherapy and information-wave action.
Electrophoresis is performed with the aid of the Elfor-I apparatus (Elfor ™). With the vasospastic form of migraine, the collar zone is affected by a solution of novocaine (0.25%), euphyllin (2%), seduxen (0.25%). The density of direct current is 0.01 mA / cm2, the duration of the procedure is 15 minutes. The course of treatment is 10 daily procedures. With any form of migraine, endonasal electrophoresis of solutions of vitamin B, (2%), calcium chloride (2%), dimedrol (0.25%) is indicated. The current strength is 0.01 mA / cm2, the duration of the procedure is 15 minutes. The course of treatment is 15 procedures daily.
Magnetotherapy is performed with a vasospastic migraine form with the help of the Polyus-2D apparatus. The technique is contact, stable. Paravertebrally one field is applied to the right and left at the level of CIII - ThIII and one field on the area of the shoulder. The time of exposure to one field is 10 minutes.
In the inter-attack period of migraine, the information-wave action is also carried out with the help of the Azor-IC apparatus. The technique of exposure is contact, stable on bare skin.
Fields of influence: I - IV - paravertebrally two fields on the right and left at the level of CIII - TIII; V - VI - right and left in the temporal region. Frequency of radiation modulation: with a vasospastic migraine form on the I-IV field of 10 Hz, with the vaso-paralysis form 80 Hz; on the V - VI field for any form of migraine 10 Hz. Time of action on the I-IV field is 10 min, for V-VI - 5 min. The course of treatment 10 procedures daily 1 time per day in the morning.
It is possible to consistently perform procedures on the same day at home with migraine during the interictal period of the disease (interval between procedures is not less than 30 min):
- drug electrophoresis + information-wave action;
- drug electrophoresis + magnetotherapy;
- short-pulse electroanalgesia (in the morning) + drug electrophoresis (in the evening hours).
