Teymurov paste is a dermatological medicine. It is often used for heavy sweating of various parts of the body. It is very popular because it has an effective refreshing and drying effect on areas where heavy sweating is observed. In general, it is a multi-component remedy that is prescribed for various dermatological pathologies.

It is used for external treatment – to provide a drying, disinfecting (elimination of bacteria) and deodorizing (absorption or removal of bad odors) effect in hyperhidrosis and diaper rash of the epidermis.

Indications Teymurov paste

It is used for hyperhidrosis, mycosis in the foot area, and diaper rash.

Release form

The component is released in the form of a paste - inside jars or tubes with a volume of 25 g.

Pharmacodynamics

The activity of a medicine is determined by its active ingredients.

Sodium tetraborate and boric acid have disinfectant properties, and salicylic acid has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and keratoplastic effects.

Lead acetate and zinc oxide have antimicrobial, adsorbent and astringent effects.

Formaldehyde with hexamethylenetetramine have antimycotic, deodorizing, antimicrobial and disinfectant activity.

Menthol, which is a component of peppermint oil, has a vasodilating and cooling effect.

Dosing and administration

Used for external treatment.

Affected areas should be treated with a thin layer of paste, 2-3 times a day. It is prohibited to apply the medicinal substance to large areas of the epidermis.

The duration of the therapeutic cycle is selected by the doctor individually and is determined by the achieved result and the course of the disease.

Use Teymurov paste during pregnancy

Teimurov's Paste should not be used during breastfeeding or pregnancy.

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

  • severe intolerance associated with drug components;
  • kidney diseases of a chronic nature;
  • acute forms of inflammation affecting the epidermis with the adjacent layer of tissue;
  • damage to the epidermis in areas treated with paste;
  • BA or spasmophilia.

Side effects Teymurov paste

Systemic symptoms include nausea and headaches; in addition, severe disorders may include tinnitus, confusion, acidosis, vomiting, dizziness, as well as increased respiratory rate, oliguria, epigastric pain, and diarrhea. Renal failure may occur when large areas of the epidermis are treated.

Local symptoms include pain, dryness of the epidermis, irritation and burning. Allergic reactions may occur, including rashes, peeling, redness, urticaria and itching, as well as contact dermatitis and anaphylactic symptoms (Quincke's edema or anaphylaxis).

Overdose

Prolonged application of the paste to large areas of skin may lead to the development of intoxication. Signs such as nausea, diarrhea, headaches, confusion, vomiting and rash appear.

In such disorders, the use of drugs is stopped and symptomatic and detoxification procedures are carried out.

Interactions with other drugs

Combined use with other topical medications may result in the creation of new compounds with unpredictable effects.

Because the medication contains salicylic acid, it cannot be combined with oral medications that contain aspirin and other NSAIDs.

Do not combine with topical retinoids or benzoyl peroxide.

Salicylic acid can increase epidermal permeability to the effects of other local drugs, which increases the likelihood of their penetration into the body.

At the same time, salicylic acid is capable of potentiating the negative effects of methotrexate and the antidiabetic activity of orally administered hypoglycemic agents of sulfonylurea derivatives.

Storage conditions

Teymurov paste should be stored in a place closed to small children. Temperature indicators are in the range of 2-8°C.

Shelf life

Teymurov paste can be used for an 18-month period from the date of production of the drug.

Application for children

It is prohibited to prescribe in pediatrics – up to 14 years of age.

Analogues

An analogue of the drug is the medication Formidron.

Reviews

Teymurov's paste gets pretty good reviews. The advantages of the medicine include the absence of side effects, a pleasant smell and low cost. The disadvantages include the need for constant use, a short period of action and difficulty in squeezing the paste out of the tube.
