Treatment of acute paraproctitis is carried out immediately after diagnosis - surgical. Basic principles of surgical treatment:

  1. opening and draining of the abscess;
  2. elimination of the internal opening through which the cavity of the abscess communicates with the rectum.

Treatment of all kinds of fistulas surgical. The operation can be considered as radical only if the inner hole in the rectum is eliminated during excision of the fistulous course.
