Mycoplasmas in the material under investigation are normally absent.

Mycoplasmas are classified as conditionally pathogenic microorganisms. They persist and parasitize on membranes of epithelial cells and can be localized both extra- and intracellularly. About 11 species of mycoplasmas are known, for which man serves as a natural master. Of these, M is of clinical importance . hominis, M. pneumoniae, M. genitalium, M. Fermentas, the U. urealyticum.

The PCR method reveals directly the mycoplasma DNA in the test material. To detect mycoplasmas in diseases of the pulmonary system, the best material for PCR is the liquid obtained in the process of bronchial lavage. In diseases of the urinary tract, urine is separated from the urethra, vagina, cervical canal, prostate gland juice. Most often, with urogenital infections, U is detected . urealyticum - in 20-50% of cases, M. hominis - in 10-25%.
