These new methods do not belong to traditional physiotherapy. Their peculiarity is in the use of predominantly the informational component of the external physical factor acting on the human body.

The need for close attention to the informational impact of external physical factors on the functioning of the structures and systems of the body has been pointed out by some authors before.

A detailed theoretical justification was carried out and corresponding technical devices for this type of impact on the human body for therapeutic, preventive and rehabilitation purposes were created. The results of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with various pathologies indicated the high therapeutic effectiveness of this equipment.

In accordance with this, there is a need to identify a special section of physiotherapy and formulate its definition based on specific characteristics.

Informational physiotherapy

Information physiotherapy is a method of general or local influence on organs and systems by an external physical factor, the energy parameters of which are comparable to the energy of cellular structures, and the rhythm of the influence of this factor corresponds to the normal rhythm of functioning of the corresponding systems of the human body.

The main difference of physiotherapeutic equipment with informational action on the human body is the ultra-low output energy power of the active factor, comparable to cellular energy, and ultra-low-frequency modulation of the rhythm of generation of the physical factor for synchronization with the frequency of the working rhythms of the functional systems of the body.

The main active factors of information physiotherapy are pulsed electric current, pulsed electromagnetic field, frequency-modulated electromagnetic radiation of the radio frequency range and optical spectrum of the corresponding parameters.

Currently, there are several technical devices approved by the Committee on New Medical Equipment of the Ministry of Health of Russia for serial production and use in medical practice, which correspond to the definition of information physiotherapy.

Autonomous electrical stimulator of the gastrointestinal tract (AESGIT) is a generator of rectangular pulsed electric current with a current strength in a single pulse from 9 to 16 mA with an average pulse current strength of 98-332 μA.

The amplitude of the voltage between the electrodes of the AESGCT is up to 4.5 V. Consequently, the energy capacity of this physical factor is 4-10-4-1.5-10-3 W and is comparable with cellular bioenergetics. The frequency of generation of single pulses of the AESGCT is about 40 Hz, the frequency of pulse packets is 3 Hz, i.e. the frequency characteristics of the AESGCT correspond to the normal rhythms of the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract systems. This technical device is essentially a physiotherapeutic apparatus, which, being in the human body (in the gastrointestinal tract), has a corresponding effect on organs and systems for 48-52 hours.

The Infita device is a generator of electromagnetic, mainly electric field in the form of certain pulses. With distant action (at a distance of 20-25 cm from the emitter), the power flux density of the acting factor on the surface of the patient's body is about 10 μW/cm2 , i.e. the energy parameters of the action are comparable with the energy of cellular structures. The frequency of pulse generation is 20-70 Hz, and the rhythms of the functioning of many body systems are in this range.

Generators of electromagnetic radiation with an informational effect on the human body - physiotherapeutic devices "Nov", "Azor-IK", "Chrono-KVCH" and "Chrono-DMV".

In the Nov' low-energy SMV therapy device, the EMI wavelength is 7.52 cm (i.e. the carrier frequency is about 4 GHz) with an output radiation power of 2 mW. Since the methods of exposure using the Nov' device are mainly distant, then at a distance of 15 cm from the irradiated surface of the patient's body, the radiation PPM is 15-25 μW/cm2 , which corresponds to the energy level of biological structures. The radiation modulation frequency (information frequency) is 10 Hz, which corresponds to the rhythms of normal functioning of many systems of the human body.

LED therapeutic infrared radiation device "Azor-IR": operating (carrier) frequency 3.5-10 14 Hz; wavelength 0.85 μm; radiation generation mode continuous; parameters of frequency discrete modulation of radiation (information frequencies) 2, 5, 10, 21, 80 Hz; PPM on the irradiated surface with contact exposure method 7.5 μW/cm 2.

Low-energy UHF therapy device "Chrono-UHF": operating (carrier) frequency 150 GHz; wavelength 2 mm; continuous radiation generation mode; radiation modulation frequency range from 1 to 100 Hz, smoothly adjustable; output power - 10 μW; mains power supply; weight 1.5 kg.

Low-energy UHF therapy device "Chrono-UHF": operating (carrier) frequency 433.92 MHz; wavelength 67 cm; continuous radiation generation mode; radiation modulation frequency range from 1 to 100 Hz, smoothly adjustable; output power 13 μW; mains power supply; weight 1.5 kg.

Due to the relatively low energy power of the radiation of the Azor-IK, Chrono-UHF and Chrono-UHF devices, comparable to the energy of biostructures, due to the modulation of radiation in the extremely low-frequency range, corresponding to the rhythm of the functioning of the organs and systems that were affected, optimization of the result of using these devices for the purpose of correcting information processes in the body was achieved.

The group of devices with information action based on EMI includes such technical devices as “Porog-1” and “Minitag”.

The device "Porog-1" (EMF frequency range 30-120 GHz) creates, with the contact method of exposure, a power flux density of about 510 -7 W/cm2 ( 0.5 μW/cm2) in continuous radiation mode.

The Minitag device generates EMI with a frequency within 30-625,000 GHz with an ultra-minimal output power (UMP with contact exposure method 10 -7 W/cm2) and synchronization of exposure at a certain localization of exposure points. Synchronization is achieved by preliminary diagnostics of the frequency of functioning of biologically active points corresponding to a certain organ or system, using a unique recording device - an information signal analyzer (AIS), which receives electromagnetic oscillations in the frequency range of 60.5-62.5 GHz. This allows optimizing the frequency characteristics of the acting factor from the position of the requirements of selective information influence in a particular pathology of the body.

It should be noted that the devices "Porog-1" and "Minitag" are used according to the methods of oriental reflexology, in particular, acupuncture, and this requires the specialist to have a clear knowledge of the philosophical aspects and technical foundations of oriental acupuncture therapy.

The clinical effects of information physiotherapy are very diverse and correspond to the specified frequency modulation of EMI depending on the need to normalize the function of the corresponding organ or body system. Clinical effects are also associated with the target impact of the physiotherapeutic information factor for the prevention of diseases, treatment or rehabilitation of patients and disabled people. It is especially worth noting the great potential and high efficiency of information physiotherapy when conducting courses of psychological rehabilitation of patients and disabled people using appropriate equipment.
