Indications Hondroxide
It is used for diseases in the spine and joints (mainly localized type) that have a degenerative-dystrophic nature: vertebral osteochondrosis and osteoarthrosis in the peripheral joints.
Release form
The substance is released in the form of a gel, in tubes with a volume of 20, 30 or 40 g. The box contains 1 such tube.
Pharmacodynamics
Chondroxide contains a natural element - chondroitin sulfate. It is obtained from cartilaginous tissues located in the trachea of cattle. This component is a high-molecular mucopolysaccharide that slows down the degeneration of cartilage tissues. It also inhibits the activity of enzymes that promote the breakdown of these tissues, stimulates the processes of binding glycosaminoglycans, helps restore the cartilaginous surfaces of the joints together with the joint capsule, and in addition, increases the production of fluid inside the joints and increases the activity of synthetic processes inside chondrocytes, improving the quality of their structure. The substance also helps restore the matrix of cartilage tissues.
The dimethyl sulfoxide contained in the gel improves the penetration of chondroitin sulfate deep into the tissues.
The drug relieves pain in inflamed joints and helps to increase their mobility, and at the same time slows down the progression of osteochondrosis with osteoarthritis.
Pharmacokinetics
The gel is well absorbed from the surface of the epidermis, and the plasma Cmax of chondroitin sulfate is noted after 3-4 hours from the moment of application of the drug. Bioavailability values are 25%. Excretion occurs mainly through the kidneys, over 24 hours.
Dosing and administration
The medication should be used externally - apply a thin layer to the area of inflammation, rubbing lightly, 2-3 times a day until it is completely absorbed into the skin (over the course of 2-3 minutes).
The therapeutic cycle is selected individually, taking into account the tolerance and the effect. It can be from 14-21 days to 60-90 days. If necessary, the course can be repeated.

Chondroxide copes well with the treatment of osteochondrosis, as well as with various joint injuries. Patients note all this in their reviews. Among the disadvantages of the drug is the fact that it is quite expensive.
