Gepatrombin is an anticoagulant drug. It has anti-inflammatory and healing therapeutic effects.

After treating the epidermis with gel or ointment or introducing suppositories, the active component of the medicine, heparin, enters the blood at high speed. After this penetration, it demonstrates a positive effect on local blood circulation. The medicine does not allow blood clots to form, and at the same time eliminates existing inflammation.

Indications Hepatrombin

It is used to treat the following disorders:

  • thrombophlebitis, thrombosis or varicose veins;
  • tendovaginitis and trophic ulcers affecting the shins;
  • injuries of a sports nature;
  • mastitis or hemorrhoids.

Release form

The medicinal component is released in the form of an ointment or gel, inside 40 g tubes. It is also produced in suppositories - 10 pieces inside a pack.

Pharmacokinetics

Dexpanthenol with allantoin increase the rate of absorption of heparin. These components eliminate inflammation and catalyze tissue epithelialization and granulation. The half-life of the drug is approximately 60 minutes.

Dosing and administration

The ointment or gel is applied to clean and dry skin, 3 times a day (5 cm of the substance must be used). If necessary, the application can be done under a bandage.

In case of thrombophlebitis or thrombosis, the area being treated should not be massaged.

During hemorrhoids, suppositories are inserted rectally, after defecation. The procedure is performed 1-2 times a day. To achieve a more effective effect, it is recommended to rinse the sphincter under cold water before using the suppository.

Use Hepatrombin during pregnancy

The use of gel or ointment during pregnancy is permitted only with the prescription of the attending physician and under his supervision.

Suppositories Gepatrombin for the elimination of hemorrhoids that occur during pregnancy are often prescribed and are quite effective.

Contraindications

Among the contraindications:

  • drug allergy to some elements of the drug;
  • abrasions, wound lesions and other violations of epidermal integrity;

Storage conditions

Gepatrombin should be stored in a dry place, out of the reach of small children. The temperature should not exceed 25°C.

Gepatrombin gets good reviews (both its gel and ointment forms). After treatment with the medicine, a significant relief of the condition occurs very quickly - swelling decreases, pain goes away. Signs of the disease disappear after 7-14 days from the start of using the drug.
