Pharmacodynamics
The drug has a bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, astringent and antispasmodic effect.
The drug's components provide an antihemorrhoidal effect (under the influence of esculus, which has a strong angioprotective and venotonic effect). Along with this, an antispasmodic effect develops, and inflammations arising from itching or cracks in the anal area are eliminated.
Chamomile extract, benzocaine, and cinquefoil essence with belladonna help reduce pain.
Dosing and administration
Suppositories are inserted rectally. It is recommended to perform the procedure after defecation or a cleansing enema.
It is necessary to administer 1 suppository per day, rectally, at night. In severe forms of the disease, 2-3 suppositories are administered per day. The medicine is used until the pain disappears, but for a maximum of 7 days in a row.
Use Hemorrhoid during pregnancy
It is prohibited to use Hemorol during pregnancy due to the risk of miscarriage when using this medicine.
Also, suppositories are not used by breastfeeding mothers, because there is not enough information regarding the safety of their use during this period.
