Multicomponent homeopathic remedy of complex application Galsten is a plant-based preparation actively used in diseases of the digestive system and liver.

Indications of the halsten

Homeopathic remedy is used:

  • in the treatment of acute and chronic inflammation of liver tissue;
  • with pathologies of the biliary tract;
  • with a chronic course of the inflammatory process in the pancreas.

 Thus, Galsten is prescribed for hepatitis, hepatosis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, conditions after removal of the gallbladder.

 Can be used to protect hepatic cells from the harmful effects of antibiotics, other medicines and alcoholic beverages.

Release form

Galstena is produced in the form of drops and tablets for internal use.

 Drops in brown glass jars in volume of 20 or 50 ml, with additional protection against opening, in the complete set the polyethylene drop device is applied. The jar is placed in a cardboard box complete with a printed annotation.

 Tablets are sublingual. One package can contain 12, 24, 36 or 48 light tablets with small inclusions, which contain a notch for dosing on one of the surfaces.

 Composition of the homeopathic remedy: Cardus Marianum, Taraxacum officinalis, Helidonium mausus, Natrium Sulfuricum, Phosphorus. Additionally, ethanol is present in the drops.

Galstena is a combined homeopathic remedy with pronounced hepatoprotective, cholekinetic and choleretic action. Effectively removes inflammation and spasms in the liver and bile ducts.

 Medpreparat normalizes the structure of the bile substance, it serves as the prevention of stone formation. 

Pharmacokinetics

The pharmacokinetic properties of homeopathic preparations are due to the action of the ingredients that make up the complex, so the study of pharmacokinetics is not possible.

Dosing and administration

Halsten sublingual tablets: taking half an hour before meals, or 60 minutes after. The medicine is not swallowed, but only kept in the mouth until it is completely resorbed. Application in childhood: the tablet is dissolved in a small amount of water. Doses:

  • for adults 1 tab. Every half an hour-hour, but not more than 4 per day;
  • for children ¼ or ½ tab. But not more than 2 per day.

 Drops for internal use: reception for half an hour before a meal, or 60 minutes after. Drops can be taken in a small amount of water, previously slightly holding the drug in the mouth.

 Doses:

  • for adults, 10 drops every hour, but not more than 40 drops per day;
  • in childhood: up to 12 months. 1 drop; up to 5 years 3-4 drops; up to 15 years, 6-7 drops four times a day.

 Duration of treatment can be from one to three months, with the treatment can be repeated after a month's break.

 Prophylactic intake of the drug is carried out for three weeks.

Use of the halsten during pregnancy

 There is no reliable information about the use of Galsten by pregnant women, as well as during lactation. For this reason, it is recommended to abstain from the use of a homeopathic remedy during these periods. Prescribe medication only in cases where it is not possible to replace it with other medications, and the expected benefit will certainly be higher than the probable danger to the fetus and to the pregnancy process as a whole.
