Fibrinase is a medicament that is commonly used in cases of damage to the function of ODA.

The active element of the drug - the substance serratiopeptidase - is a proteolytic enzyme, which is obtained from the non-objectionable intestinal microbe - Serratia type E15. This component has intensive anti-inflammatory, fibrinolytic and anti-edema properties. It significantly reduces pain by blocking the release of painful amines located inside the inflamed tissues.

Indications Fibrinase

It is used in such situations:

  • diseases of a surgical nature - ruptures or sprains, dislocations with fractures, as well as puffiness after plastic surgery;
  • pathologies affecting the respiratory organs - dilution of sputum with subsequent relief of its discharge from the respiratory tract;
  • diseases associated with ENT organs - facilitating the process of excretion of secretions from the paranasal sinuses;
  • epidermal lesions - inflammatory dermatosis in the active phase;
  • pathologies affecting the mammary glands and female genitalia - congestion and hematomas in the region of the mammary glands.

Release form

The release of the element is implemented in tablets - 10 pieces inside the cell plate. In the box - 1, 3 or 10 records.

Pharmacodynamics

Serratiopeptidase directly reduces capillary dilatation and regulates capillary permeability by hydrolysis of histamine with bradykinin and serotonin. At the same time, the drug blocks substances that slow down the activity of plasmin, as a result of which fibrinolytic effect develops. Serratiopeptidase helps reduce inflammatory conductors of polypeptide origin (bradykinin) and fibrin inside an inflammatory focus of a chronic nature, but it does not have a significant effect on living proteins (for example, albumin with α-, as well as γ-globulins).

The enzyme activity of the active element is ten times higher than α-chymotrypsin. The drug easily passes into the inflamed areas, lysing dead tissues with their metabolic elements, reduces hyperemia, and with it increases the rate of activity and penetration of antibiotics.

Proteolysis of structural proteins inside sputum allows the enzyme to improve its rheological characteristics and helps its excretion.

In addition, serratiopeptidase reduces the viscosity of nasal secretions and saliva, which simplifies their elimination.

Pharmacokinetics

When ingested, the medication in an unchanged state is absorbed inside the intestine. It is not subjected to inactivation under the action of gastric juice and penetrates into the circulatory system in an enzymatically active form. Plasma Cmax values are noted after the 1st hour.

Synthesis occurs with blood α-2-macroglobulins in the proportion of 1k1. This process masks enzyme antigenicity, while maintaining enzyme activity. Exchange processes are not exposed.

The active ingredient is excreted in the bile and, in small volumes, through the kidneys.

Dosing and administration

The drug is used in adults - orally in a portion of 10-20 mg after eating. A maximum of 30 mg of a substance is allowed per day. Tablets are swallowed without chewing, while squeezing ordinary water (1 cup).

The duration of the therapy cycle and the size of the dosage Fibrinase selected individually, taking into account the dynamics of the disease and its nature.

Side effects Fibrinase

The main side signs are:

  • lesions of the respiratory organs, mediastinum and sternum: discharge of bloody sputum, nosebleeds, eosinophilic pneumonia in the acute phase;
  • Problems with digestive function: vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea, discomfort in the epigastric zone and nausea;
  • immune disorders and lesions of the subcutaneous layers and the epidermis: signs of intolerance, including itching, rashes and hyperemia.

Overdose

When intoxication occurs such manifestations: anorexia, nausea, epigastric discomfort and vomiting. Occasionally, blood may appear in the discharge of sputum or bleeding.

Medical symptomatic procedures are performed.

Interactions with other drugs

The drug increases the rate of passage of NSAIDs and antibiotics inside the inflamed tissue.

Combined use with anticoagulants leads to potentiation of the activity of the latter. Therefore, this combination should be used very carefully and under medical supervision.
