Pharmacodynamics

The composition of thyme found essential oils with a dominant content of phenolic groups - this is thymol and liquid carvacrol. In a smaller amount, cymole, terpineol, borneol, terpinene, pinene and other terpenic substances are present. Timol has a bactericidal action against the coccal pathogenic flora, and inhibits the development and growth of Gram-negative microorganisms. In addition, a significant antifungal effect of the substance has been found.

Due to the galenic forms found in thyme, stimulation of the ciliary epithelium of the upper respiratory system stimulates, secretion of mucous membranes increases and expectoration is facilitated.

The drug is favorable for reducing inflammation, liquefaction and excretion of the discharge from the bronchi.

With a dry inflammatory process, the drug produces an enveloping and antimicrobial effect.

Extract of psyllium has a wide biological activity. Thanks to it, the drug is able to enhance the active function of the ciliary epithelium of the respiratory organs, stimulate the secretion of mucus in the bronchi, which results in the dilution of sputum and facilitating its excretion. The drug has healing and antimicrobial effect.
