Classification of erosions of the stomach and duodenum:

Primary erosions.
Secondary erosions (concomitant with the underlying disease).
Erosion as a manifestation of a malignant or systemic process in the gastric mucosa (malignant erosion in cancer, lymphoma, Crohn's disease, etc.).
Benign erosion:
1. Erosions are acute (hemorrhagic).
2. Erosions are chronic single and multiple.
3. Chronic erosive (lymphocytic) gastritis.
4. Erosion-hemorrhagic gastritis and duodenitis.

The acute include flat erosion, the epithelialization of which does not exceed 2-7 days; to chronic - erosion, not subjected to reverse development for 30 days or more.
