Indications Entrop
It is used for diseases of the central nervous system of various origins, against the background of which a decrease in motor activity and a weakening of intellectual and mnestic activity are observed:
- neurotic conditions in which there is a disorder of memory, attention and assimilation of received information, fatigue, lethargy and weakening of psychomotor function;
- mild to moderate depression;
- syndromes of a psychoorganic nature, accompanied by apathetic-abulic symptoms and mental-mnestic disorders, as well as sluggish apathetic states that arise in the case of schizophrenia;
- convulsive states;
- chronic alcoholism (to relieve symptoms of depression, asthenia, mental and memory disorders).
It is prescribed to prevent hypoxia, increase stress resistance, stabilize the functional state in extreme situations at work, prevent fatigue and increase physical and intellectual performance, and in addition to this, to normalize the daytime biorhythm and invert the sleep/wake period.
Release form
The medicinal substance is released in tablets of 0.05 and 0.1 g, 10 pieces per blister pack; there are 1-2 such packs per box.
Pharmacodynamics
The drug has a beneficial effect on cerebral circulation and metabolism, stimulates oxidation-reduction processes, increases the body's energy capacity by utilizing glucose, and improves regional blood circulation processes within ischemic brain areas. Increases serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine levels within the brain, does not change GABA values, is not synthesized with GABA-α and GABA-β endings, and has no significant effect on spontaneous brain bioelectrical activity.
The drug does not affect the function of the cardiovascular system and respiration, has a weak diuretic effect, and has an anorexigenic effect in case of course use.
The stimulating activity of Entrop is associated with its ability to moderately affect motor function, increase physical performance, significant antagonism to the cataleptic effect of neuroleptics, and, in addition, with a weakening of the hypnotic effect of hexenal and ethyl alcohol.
The moderate psychostimulating effect of the drug develops mainly in the ideational sphere. This effect is combined with an anxiolytic effect, improves mood and has some analgesic activity, increasing the pain threshold.
The adaptogenic effect of phenylpiracetam increases the body's resistance to stress during excessive physical and mental stress, hypokinesia, low temperature, severe fatigue, and immobilization.
The use of the drug causes an improvement in vision - the visual field expands and acuity increases.
Phenylpiracetam helps improve blood circulation in the legs. This element also stimulates the production of antibodies (as a reaction to the use of an antigen), which allows us to conclude that it has immunostimulating properties; however, it does not cause immediate intolerance and does not correct allergic skin inflammation reactions that occur when using a foreign protein.
The course use of the drug does not cause the development of tolerance, drug dependence or withdrawal syndrome.
The effect of Entrop begins after the introduction of a single dose, which is extremely important in an extreme situation.
The drug does not have a mutagenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic or carcinogenic effect. It has a low toxicity index, experimentally it has been found that the lethal dose is 0.8 g/kg.
Pharmacokinetics
The drug is absorbed at high speed, passes into various tissues and organs, easily overcomes the BBB. The level of absolute bioavailability of the drug after oral administration is 100%. The Cmax indicator is noted after 60 minutes; the half-life is 3-5 hours.
The drug does not participate in metabolic processes and is excreted unchanged. Approximately 40% of the drug is excreted in urine, and the remaining 60% - in sweat and bile.
Dosing and administration
The drug should be taken orally, after meals. The portion size and duration of therapy are selected individually, taking into account the patient's condition.
The average 1-time portion size is 0.15 g (0.1-0.25 g), the average daily dosage is 0.25 g (0.2-0.3 g). A maximum of 0.75 g of the medicine is allowed per day. The daily dosage of up to 0.1 g must be taken at one time (in the morning), and portions over 0.1 g are divided into 2 doses.
The duration of therapy varies between 0.5-3 months. On average, it lasts 1 month. If necessary, after 1 month, the cycle can be repeated (consult your doctor first).
To increase performance – 1-time intake in the morning of 0.1-0.2 g of the drug over a period of 14 days (for athletes – 3 days).
For individuals with alimentary-constitutional obesity, 1-2 months of therapy is recommended in a dose of 0.1-0.2 g per day (taken in the morning).
The medicine cannot be used after 15:00.
