Dentinox is used as a pain-relieving medicine during the period of teething in children of different ages.

Indications Dentinox
It is indicated for external use - as an analgesic, relieving unpleasant symptoms during the period of appearance of baby teeth (such manifestations as inflammatory processes, and along with this, irritation and pain in the gums). It can also be used during the eruption of permanent teeth.
The drug is also often used as a preventative measure.
Release form
It is produced in gel form in 10 g tubes. One pack contains 1 tube of medicine.
Pharmacodynamics
It has local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
The gel contains the local anesthetic lidocaine, as well as chamomile tincture, which contains many bioactive components.
Thanks to the medicine, it is possible to reduce the discomfort and pain that occur during the period of teething of baby and permanent teeth in children.
Pharmacokinetics
After treating the gums with the gel, there is no noticeable absorption of the active components into the systemic bloodstream, nor any effect on the body.

Dosing and administration
The gel should be applied to the gum area where the tooth is erupting. The size of a single dosage should not exceed the volume of a pea. The drug should be applied with a clean finger or a cotton swab - it should be rubbed in gently.
Dentinox can be used several times a day. It is allowed to use it until all baby teeth have erupted, and then as permanent teeth appear.

Contraindications
An absolute contraindication to the drug is the patient's hypersensitivity to the active components of the drug and its excipients. In addition, the gel cannot be applied if there are any lesions on the oral mucosa.
Since the medicine contains sorbitol, it is not recommended for use in the treatment of patients with congenital fructose intolerance.
Side effects Dentinox
As a rule, the medicine does not provoke side effects and is well tolerated. In isolated cases, allergic reactions were observed as a result of gel treatment, such as itchy rash and reddening of the skin.
The medicine contains sugar substitutes, so it does not cause caries.

Storage conditions
The gel should be kept in a place protected from sunlight, in the original packaging. The storage temperature is standard – no more than 25°C.
Shelf life
Dentinox is suitable for use for 5 years from the date of its manufacture, but it should be taken into account that after opening the tube it is allowed to be used for no more than 1 year.
