The active substance in the tablet is secnidazole. Excipients are magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide solution, microcrystalline cellulose and others.
Pharmacodynamics
Pharmacodynamics of Dazel is the localization of substances, their mechanisms of action, effects and various factors that are taken into account during treatment.
- Fluconazole is an antifungal drug that effectively acts against Candida albicans bacteria.
- Azithromycin is an antibiotic that has an antibacterial effect on Chlamydiatrachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoea and belongs to the macrolide group.

Pharmacokinetics
Pharmacokinetics Dazel is responsible for the processes that occur with the drug in the human body. Let's consider how each of the drugs included in the Dazel drug complex work in the body.
- Secnidazole is completely but slowly absorbed in the body. As a rule, the effect of the drug is calculated for 17-30 hours. If the drug is taken by patients with giardiasis or amebiasis, the body's reaction occurs a day after taking the drug. In the case of hepatic amebiasis, treatment lasts for a week. The drug is well distributed throughout the body and does not concentrate in placental tissues. The time it takes for the drug to spread throughout the body is about 10 minutes. Due to slow absorption, the drug can remain in the intestine. But this is one of the advantages of the drug, since in the intestine it fights parasites such as amoeba and giardia.
- Fluconazole - oral administration of the drug is equal to intravenous administration in its effectiveness of distribution throughout the body. The highest concentration of the drug is observed in the blood plasma, 2 hours after taking the drug. But the half-life is about 30 hours. The drug is excreted in the urine, with about 80% of the drug leaving unchanged and 10% as metabolites.
- Azithromycin - the drug is well absorbed and spreads very quickly through the gastrointestinal tract. Such rapid action of the drug is associated with blood plasma proteins. The drug is excreted in the urine, while it leaves unchanged with bile.
Dosing and administration
The method of administration and dosage of the drug Dazel are calculated for the entire complex of drugs in one platinum Dazel.
- Fluconazole is taken - 1 tablet before or after meals.
- Secnidazole is taken - 2 tablets during meals.
- Azithromycin is taken - 1 tablet 1-2 hours before meals.
The Dazel complex of drugs is intended for a single use of all drugs. If there is a need for a repeated course of treatment, the drug is prescribed by the attending physician.
Please note that while taking the drug, you must refrain from driving vehicles, drinking alcoholic beverages, and from work that requires high attention and quick psychomotor reactions.
Use Dazel during pregnancy
The use of Dazel during pregnancy is prohibited, and the drug should not be taken during lactation, that is, breastfeeding.
The drug penetrates the placental barrier and can negatively affect the development of the baby. If the drug is taken in the early stages of pregnancy, it can provoke severe bleeding and miscarriage, and taking it in the last stages of pregnancy - premature birth and even asphyxia in the newborn.
Dasel is excreted in breast milk and enters the newborn's body. Therefore, during lactation, it is necessary to refuse taking the drug or stop breastfeeding.
Contraindications
Contraindications to the use of Dazel are associated with individual intolerance to the substances that are part of the drug. A number of contraindications include:
- Hypersensitivity to any antibiotic that belongs to the macrolide group.
- Age of patients – strictly prohibited for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, especially to fluconazole.

- Hypersensitivity to substances in the drug that are nitroimidazole derivatives.
- The drug Dazel is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
- Contraindicated in case of pathological changes in the blood, especially in the anamnesis.
Side effects Dazel

Interactions with other drugs
The interaction of Dazel with other drugs depends on the substances that are included in the drug complex.
- Fluconazole - when interacting with anticoagulants, an increase in prothrombin time is observed. Simultaneous use by patients with diabetes mellitus with hypoglycemic agents is possible only after permission from the attending physician, since there is a high probability of hypoglycemia. When interacting with rifampicin, the period of fluconazole elimination is significantly reduced.
- Secnidazole - when interacting with anticoagulants, the latter's effect may be enhanced and even adverse reactions may occur. When used with disulfiram, there is a high probability of psychosis and paranoid reactions. Interaction of Dazel with non-depolarizing muscle relaxants is strictly prohibited. In case of simultaneous use of Dazel with a lithium preparation, a high concentration of secnidazole is observed in the blood plasma.
- Azithromycin - interaction with drugs ergot can cause ergotism. And when used simultaneously with cyclosporine, azithromycin increases the risk of toxic and adverse reactions of the drug, and azithromycin interferes with the metabolism of cyclosporine azithromycin.
