Pharmacodynamics

The active component of Darcil is silymarin – a complex of flavonoids that fight free radicals in the liver, prevent cells from being destroyed, and restore hepatocyte membranes.

The drug promotes protein synthesis in damaged hepatocytes, cell regeneration, and prevents the loss of cellular elements.

In addition, Darcil inhibits the penetration of substances toxic to the liver (including death cap poison).

The drug improves the general well-being of patients, eliminates (or significantly reduces) the feeling of weakness, pain in the hypochondrium, and normalizes the functional state of the organ.

The drug is excreted from the body mainly by the gall bladder, and is absorbed into the systemic circulation in the small intestine. The half-life is about 6 hours. The drug practically does not accumulate in the body.
