Cameton is a medicine that acts on the respiratory system and is used for diseases in the throat region. The drug is included in the category of antiseptics.
Indications of the cametona
It is used for local therapy in acute or chronic (mostly aggravated) pathologies of inflammatory-infectious nature in the nose and throat. Among these are pharyngitis and runny nose, as well as laryngitis and tonsillitis.
Release form
The release is carried out in the form of an aerosol, in cans with a volume of 30 g.
Pharmacodynamics
Cameton has anti-inflammatory, as well as antimicrobial properties and a weak local anesthetic effect. Helps normalize respiratory function of the patient. The drug has a vasoconstrictive effect, reduces puffiness and blood filling at the site of the lesion.

Pharmacokinetics

Slow absorption in the circulatory system undergoes a small amount of camphor and chlorobutanol hydrate (they undergo a reversible protein synthesis inside the blood). During the biotransformation, glucuronides are formed, which help to remove the elements of the drug from the body through the kidneys.
Dosing and administration
Aerosol is applied topically, it is applied to the mucous membranes, as well as to the inflamed parts of the nasal cavity and throat.
Dosage dimensions based on patient age:
- adolescents from 15 years or adults are required to perform 2-3 throat irrigation, as well as 1-2 injections inside both nostrils;
- children in the period of 5-12 years - 1-2 irrigation of the throat, as well as 1 injection inside both nostrils;
- adolescents in the period of 12-15 years - 2 irrigation of the throat cavity, and 1 injection into both nares.
The medicine is used 3-4 times a day.
The duration of therapeutic therapy is established by the doctor, taking into account its intensity (basically lasts within 3-10 days). Do not use the aerosol for more than 14 days.
Use of the cametona during pregnancy
There is no information about the prohibition of the use of Cameton in lactation and pregnancy, but the use of the medicine is allowed only with the appointment of a doctor.
